I have no experience in rafting, will I be safe?

The difficulty level on the Mae Taeng River ranges from grade 3 to 5. It has been praised by travellers as some of the best whitewater rafting in Asia. This awesome rafting trip takes approximately 2 hours and finishes at the downstream camp, where you can rest and change into dry clothes. It will definitely be safe and you will have an expert guide with you leading you down the river.

This tour looks interesting to me, but I've never rafted before. I'm also not a good swimmer, how difficult is the rafting?

Although you don't need to be an experienced rafter it is recommended that you are relatively active as there is hiking and biking involved as well. During your raft you will be equip with helmets and life jackets, and take a safety brief to get acquainted with the paddling commands, the correct way to sit in the raft, and the necessary precautions on river safety.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 10th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 10th, 2025, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Intrepid Travel will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
