They became my good friends and will cherish their memories as long as I live. We had some of the best equipment, tents, a portable toilet and sufficient supplies for the whole climbibg party. We are truly grateful to all the members of our crew (guides, cook and porters) for excellent support. Their advice and tactics were instrumental to our success. The company provided us with nice comfortable tents, enough food, water, amenities, a mobile toilet, fully kitted first aid box, oxygen bottles and other items that were necessary. Their attention to detail ensured that nothing was left to chance in terms of equipment, supplies.... to the smallest items. The actual trek was wonderful, our guides were kind, caring, patient, friendly and super helpful. We could not have made it to the summit without them. The whole trip was superbly organized and the quality of service turned out better than we expected. The route is of medium difficulty aside from the last night stage leading to the summit which is extremely difficult. I have absolute adoration for Zara Tours becase they gave us an amazing crew, excellent equipment and we had very nice meals at all times. The whole trek was well planned, from our arrival at JRO, meet and greet at Springlands Hotel where the whole trek was explained by Joseph the main guide to the actual trek. We had a great crew of professional guides, porters and cook who were efficient and hardworking, however above all they are kind, caring and very fun to be during the weeklong adventure. They kept close watch on our health, with daily checks before breakfast and after dinner before we tucked in our tents. The conditions are quite rough; biting cold weather, constrained living space but the accomplishment of reaching the summit made it worth it. I would not change anything given another opportunity. - David· January 2nd, 2021It was an epic journey to the top of Kilimanjaro via Rongai route. The trek was not easy and the support of the wonderful crew led by Yesse Lema was the difference that took us to the summit. We could have failed miserably without their support. The trail goes through the different habitats and as we went higher we had awesome views of beautiful landscapes down below and we confirmed the words of Mike our travel consultant that Rongai has the best views. I had mild Altitude sickness and the crew was at hand with herbal remedies that had me better within a short while. It was just me and my girlfriend on the climb which made it very intimate. Thank you for great equipment, tasty meals, all the water, bathroom convenience and above all the duty and care of getting 2 armature climbers safely to the summit.Show moreTrip date: December 2020

We booked the trip with Zara Tours who are one of the oldest and well established travel agencies in Tanzania. They not only gave us a wonderful and experienced crew but also top notch equipment for the trek. We also stayed at their hotel in Moshi – Springlands Hotel which was perfect.
