The booking process with Hamisi was smooth, as he was always available quickly addressed any issues we had about the trip. Nico our lead guide and Echesa his assistant guide, were highly knowledgeable about Kilimanjaro. Their constant concern for our safety, health and comfort was truly reassuring as we knew that we were in good hands. The food was really good, Palamo our cook would pleasantly surprise with delicious meals that exceeded our expectations. We are absolutely happy with Zara Tours for hosting us in what can only be described as the most amazing adventure of our lives. Our team consisted of 2 adults and three teens and the team from Zara led by guide Lema supported us to the summit and back. They made sure that we were well fed, slept in comfortable tents, healthy and above all safe. Their constant concern for our wellbeing was reassuring. I am awed by how meticulous and attentive Lema was; he was always the first to notice if a climber was running out of breath, finding their backpack heavy, struggling with the high altitude.... and he would intervene. We were supported by a crew of guides, porters and cook, led by Yesse. They went out of their way to create ideal conditions that enhanced the comfort of the overall experience. It helped to have capable and experienced hands doing all the chores and heavy lifting. Yesse ran a tight ship and his keen eye did not miss any single thing. He was very particular about our health and safety and made it evident that he was ready to call off the hike should he sense that we were in any danger. - BMBeatty· October 5th, 2024My 2 friends and I, joined 4 other climbers and did Kilimanjaro in 8 days using the Lemosho route. We had four guides; Paul, Minke, Kileo and Daudi who are the main reason that we all reached the summit and descended back to Moshi in excellent shape. The actual trek was tough but beautiful at the same time. Luckily we had an excellent team with us guiding every step of the way. I appreciate the thorough work by crew to ensure that the tents were set up, clean sleeping bags, delicious food, regular medical checks, the hot water bottle at nights, warm water to bath, mobile toilet and the morning coffee in bed made it all bearable. I appreciate the motivation, encouragement and climbing tact. I had joined a group with 4 other climbers from other parts of the world which made me kind of nervous, however as we progressed with the trek it all turned out very well. Actually I got an opportunity to learn more about other cultures.We were well supported all through by an excellent and qaulified crew of guides, porters and cook, kittes with great equipment and provided with excellent meals. The trek was tough because of the high altitude however the beautiful views and fresh mountain air made it very refreshing. We made it safely to the summit and we had a great time. - Santana· September 28th, 2024Going up to Kilimanjaro's summit with Zara Adventure Tanzania was an incredible lifetime experience. The entire trip was well planned and executed and we are very impressed with the entire Zara team. Hamisi our Tour Designer responses were timely and answered all our questions very well. His advice helped us to select Lemosho route which is one of the reasons we managed to summit successfully, despite being novice climbers. The quality of service was very impressive. We had good equipment such as the tents were sturdy, waterproof and spacious. The beddings were clean, we even had a portable toilet. Hot water bottles to keep us warm, water to sponge clean and many other little things that made the trek better. The crew was experienced and did a wonderful job. I knew that Zara Tours was the company to contact because they were professional and their responses very timely. Hamisi took the time to listen to us and understand exactly what we were looking. In the end we had a really awesome adventure, well taken by the wonderful crew of professional guides and porters. The support was awesome and is the reason we made it to the summit and back. I highly recommend this local operator because they are very well organized, have experienced crew, well resourced with the proper equipment for a particular excursion and their charges are very reasonable. - JMJiang· September 13th, 2024We booked the 8 days Kilimanjaro Lemosho trek. Our group consisted of 6 climbers drawn from various countries and the two of us from PRC. We had great guides Melvin, Suba and Kimario. They were very supportive in all the areas that we needed on our trek. They were attentive and monitored our progress and health closely, very knowledgeable about the route, its history and important points along the trail. The chef kept us well fed and I have nothing but praise for her. We had complete gears for the trek and tents in good shape, comfortable sleeping bags and other equipment.
