- PBPaul· November 25th, 2019i have incorrectly rated overall as 1 star whereas I intended to rate as 3 star/average. I think the problem is that there is not so much to see on a touring holiday of Nepal. It is probablybest suited for trekking or mountain pursuits.Trip date: November 2019
- MMCEisele· October 31st, 2019I really enjoyed my tour, so much to see and do at the three different locations with great accommodations and food. The rafting and elephant safari were my favorites. The only issue I had was on the 6th day, the driver took us on a long (approx. 3.5 mile) uphill hike (along a rocky and sometimes slippery trail) from our hotel through the jungle to the World Peace Stupa. This was not in the posted itinerary and I had no idea where we were going. I was too tired to go to the stupa but had lunch at one of the cafes at the top of the hill and took a cab back to the hotel. Given the high heat and humidity that day, had I been informed of the distance and difficulty of the hike, I would have opted out. The rest of the trip was fantastic, a wonderful experience.Show moreTrip date: October 2019
- Cheng· October 22nd, 2019We'd recommend this one week introductory tour of Nepal. From the moment we were picked up at the airport we felt well looked after. The rafting was most enjoyable as was the time at the jungle resort. We were lucky enough to get a clear day for mountain viewing. On the last night Achut managed to get us a room upgrade which was a very nice touch. Overall most satisfied. Keep it up ManakamanaTreks.Show moreTrip date: October 2019
- Rember· July 14th, 2019Our guide who came along to all places was polite but his english was HORRIBLE and he didn't tell much about the things we visited, I felt that he was uncomfortable talking to us. Our guide in Kathmandu, Susan, was good though. We were only with 2 on the tour so be aware that you could be alone on the tour (with the guide). There are some extra tourist entrance fees you have to pay aswell (maybe 50 dollars in total). I did this tour during monsoon and Chitwan national park is pretty disappointing at this time because the grasses are really high so you don't see a lot of animals and for example the crocodiles stay underwater for most of the time so we got to see only 1. The bird watching was a joke, we saw maybe 5 ordinary birds. The elephant riding is kinda sad because the riders are constantly hitting the elephants. In Pokhara/Sarangkot we could barely see the Himalayas because it is cloudy all the time during monsoon. Outside of monsoon most of these things are probably a lot better though. Transportation/accommodation was good. Meals were good but be aware that besides breakfast there mostly aren't any meals included (except in Chitwan park).Show moreTrip date: July 2019
- RLRegina· June 30th, 2019We were picked up at the hotel with flowers and made to feel welcome on arrival. The company bought us a meal on the last day, which was very lovely. I was concerned about the transparency issues. I felt that we weren't given upfront information. I emailed the company prior to departure and asked about meals. I received the reply that meals would be included. It turned out the It was provided by the hotel we stayed at ( breakfast and at Chitwan National Park). When we did relay our wishes in regards to some aspects of the trip, we felt that we weren't being listened to and things had taken a bad turn for my daughter. It would have been better if we were given upfront information, rather than being promised something and then not delivered. It was very disappointing for all involved. I am not sure if it was due to the cultural misunderstanding or communication issues. On many occasions, we were shortchanged by people we encountered (e.g., not given the right change for visa approval and the officer had devoured $30 AUD herself, charged extra at the shop, for so-called shopping "bag" ( we took an calculator with us at the end), laundry not weighed by shopkeeper and they tried to charge much more for washing, and the fruit shop owner only giving us the right change after we counted the money in our hand ( he took out the last 500 rupee in the last minute) and the hotel staff trying to charge an exorbitant rate for an extra night stay. Somehow the money was collected by our tourist agency staff initially. I am not sure how things actually worked in the country. We then pointed out to them that Agoda and Booking.com were charging much lower rate. Felt like we were treated like walking wallet a lot of times, rather than guest of the country. Sound terrible but that was part of our experience. I understand poverty and environment play a big part in all these and many people are honest and friendly. The flight over Himalayan range was the highlight and it was breathtaking.Show moreTrip date: June 2019
- NYNicholas· March 2nd, 2019We arrived in Nepal for an eight day tour and were picked up from the airport by our guide Krishner. The following day we met Achut who took us for lunch and gave us an orientation walk of surrounding Kathmandu. If you are only able to visit Nepal for a short time, I would thoroughly recommend this tour. The guides spoke good english and were very knowledgeable about everywhere we went. Kathmandu provided an excellent cultural experience whilst Pokhara and Chitwan exposed us to Nepal's beautiful scenery and wildlife. The highlights were undoubtedly the jeep safari tour, crocodile safari in a canoe and the hiking Pokhara.Show moreTrip date: December 2018
- AAnonymous· October 3rd, 2018My trip to Nepal exceeded all off my expectations. I could not have been happier with Manakamana Treks. I was excited every morning to wake up to new adventures and went to bed so appreciative for all that I have seen and experienced. We went rafting, canoeing, trekking, sightseeing, went on the elephant safari and much more. The guides were very professional, punctual and helpful in every aspect of the trip. Our driver made me feel safe on the dangerous roads of Nepal. And did I mention the financial value of the services provided? Unbeatable... Thank you Achut, Amoj, Keshav and Dipu for making my trip an unforgettable experience!!!Show moreTrip date: August 2018
- LGLuisa· August 16th, 2018The tour expenses should be explained in more detail since it is not well explained what is and isn’t included regarding meals. There should be a course for the guides since they were not good at answering our questions, one of the guides was terrible regarding information.Show moreManakamana Treks & Expedition Pvt.
