  I very much enjoyed this tour and our Guide, Robert, was excellent. Even though I could not do some of the hikes, due to injury (not sustained during the tour), I was well looked after and accommodated and thoroughly enjoyed all the other aspects of the tour.

  We had a most excellent adventure sailing with Danae and Costa in Greece. We did not get to do the original itinerary due to very high winds but they gave us an excellent alternative in more sheltered waters, Oh those amazing green/blue waters! It was our first sailing adventure and it left me looking for more. I brought my whole family on the adventure including parents and though there were some awkward, boarding moments for my mom (72 and not quite as agile as she used to be (don't tell her I said that!) Costa was always there to lend her a hand telling her she was a natural sailor with his devilish Greek smile! Danae is an excellent host and we shared many laughs.

  It was a fantastic experience and Danae was very good. There was a one day general transport strike during our stay and she was able to sort out other transport for us and was very professional. Thought accommodation in Santorini could have been a bit better. But overall great.

  Breakfast at the hotels could be improved, for instance fresh bread at the hotel in Santorini; some Greek entertainment organised for the evening would have improved the tour; some things were rushed due to sailing tour departure for instance my husband missed out on lunch after a long hike and could only have a meal at 6.00pm on the sunset tour. This was due to group being of different level of fitness, tour member getting lost and tour members making many stops without knowing that we were running out of time for a proper lunch break. In general lunch breaks were not well organised and often late. For instance at the walking tour in the inland of Naxos there was no proper meal stop at a restaurant despite we stopped for filling up our water bottles and snack breaks on the way. On the Naxos hike it would have been proper to stop for at least a drink and a small lunch for a short time. However, it seemed there was no such time for that and we stopped at the end of the hike which was well in the afternoon.

  Such a great experience. Danae was the best. Her knowledge of the areas we visited and enthusiasm to ensure that we enjoyed ourselves, created a fantastic tour. The Hikes were just right for us, and the views and sights were amazing. The hike we did on Naxos was particularly awesome, the scenery, breathtaking. Thank you for all your effort, it resulted in an experience that was a highlight of our whole trip. [link removed]

  We used Danae and Trails Beyond to plan and execute a 10 day "trip of a lifetime" to Greece in June of 2018. Now, I only started planning this trip 30 days prior to departure, so having Danae's help, from suggesting hotels and villas to arranging all our transfers, was invaluable. During the trip, she took care of all check-ins/outs, transfer changes (and we had lots, sorry Danae!) and took us on a few amazing hikes and two boating adventures, one "group" and one private...she can cater to anything your heart desires, is pleasant to be around, and genuinely a nice/good person. Pro tips- go to Naxos...you won't hate it, and pack hiking shoes, it's super rocky everywhere.

  Absolutely perfect is the best way to describe our vacation with Trails Beyond! We were beyond thrilled with our guide, she was awesome and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend Trails Beyond to anyone considering visiting Greece, as they ensured our trip went smoothly and that we had a fabulous time. Every day was scheduled perfectly with activities and down time to chill, all of our transfers were handled seamlessly, and the accommodations made us feel like rock stars!   We had a great time. Naxos and Santorini are wonderful islands to visit. Everything was organized very well, from ferry crossing to the islands, being picked up from the port and driven to our hotel. We explored the islands off the beaten track and we enjoyed delicious local food. The beauty of Santorini is almost magical, with wild landscape and spectacular sunset views. Naxos has some of the most incredible beaches of the Cyclades. Danae was a wonderful guide. She deals with any problem may be arrived. She took the time to listen to what we had to say about our interests and individualized our trip to exactly what fit us .I totally recommend this tour to anyone.

  We wanted to spend our holidays in the Cyclades islands but we were looking for someone to show us the secret paths, beyond the tourism masses. And so did Danae! We really enjoyed our time in Naxos and Santorini, 2 very beautiful islands, and especially the hiking trails both islands, the daily sailing cruise to Small Cyclades and the wine tour in Santorini. If you ever want to discover the Greek islands off the beaten track, do it with Trails Beyond!
