- Annie· July 16th, 2019I loved the trek from the point of view of the scenery and challenge but I was disappointed with this tour. I was the only person on it ( consequently the price doubled because it was a compulsory single supplement even though I didn't request this) and had one guide/ muleteer who provided no information whatsoever. He barely spoke to me so I had no idea what to expect each day. We trekked for approx 4 hours each day, no lunch stops as described in the trip notes and instead we would arrive at the accomodation approx 1pm and have lunch there and spend the whole of the rest of the day at the primitive accomodation with nothing to do. I chose this trip over climbing Mt Toubkhal as I wanted to learn about the Berbers etc but unfortunately the guide wasn't interested in talking to me.Show moreTrip date: April 2019
- Anonymous· November 17th, 2018An amazing hike in the mountains! The vistas were to die for. Our muleteer and cook Abdul provided fresh, flavourful and varied meals on mountain passes and in the gites. The accommodation was spartan to say the least, but always clean. Our guide Ali was very competent and friendly but it would have been nice if he spoke a little more English. I’d recommend this trip to anyone who likes the great outdoors enough to put up with a little discomfort (sleeping on mattresses on the floor in Gites with no heat)Show moreTrip date: November 2018

- ECEilidh· April 25th, 2017We had an amazing 4 days in the high atlas mountains with Ibrahim and mohammed! The scenery was incredible and walking is such a great way to get a feel for a place. We were so well looked after! Ibrahim was a great guide who knew his stuff really well and was really fun and interesting to chat to. He was very patient with my slow walking and kindly lent me his walking poles for the duration of the trek, which I hugely appreciated! Mohammed was a genius who could make restaurant quality meals at the top of high passes on a camping stove! He was also extremely kind and found blankets for us when we were cold and too tired to do anything about it ourselves! The accommodation was great too - a comfortable bed and a hot shower every night was much more than I expected! Overall I'd thoroughly recommend this trip and this team!Show moreTrek in Morocco commented on this reviewThank you so much for your excellent review. - Karima· June 5th, 2015After emailing a few companies due to his quick response and competitive prices we decided to go with Houssine and booked a 4 day Berber village trek. Houssine also accomodated for my vegan diet. We paid our deposit by paypal which most companies do not offer and saves a lot in bank fees. Houssine arranged airport pick up and a night in his guesthouse prior to our trek. Unfortunately my husband was taken ill the first night. Houssine and his team arranged for an ambulance and followed us to the hospital in order to translate and ensure that he received the best possible care. His contact did not stop there. He continued to look after us and arranged a driver to collect us from the hospital on discharge. He even arranged a beautiful hotel for his respite and when my husband was better sent a guide to take us on a trek, all for no extra charge. The day trek was amazing and Houssine even phoned during the day to check on my husbands health. We had lunch at a local village and it really was the best food we had in Morocco. Houssine also arranged for a driver to take us back to Marrakech. One could not hope for better care and Houssine is even continuing to assist us with our insurance claims back in the UK. If you want to travel in Morocco in safe hands we could not recommend anyone better than Houssine. He is always true to his word and has a strong network of colleagues who speak very highly of him and assist in every way. We plan to return to Morocco and complete the trek we initially booked and will certainly be booking with Houssine.Show moreTrip date: May 2015
