- AFitzgerald S· September 18th, 2019This was my second trip with intrepid, I booked again as my first one (Russia) was excellent.Value for money, ease of internet choices, itinerary. The food on this trip was very well catered for (vegetarian) a fantastic variety, plenty of food and prepared by a competent and happy chefShow moreTrip date: May 2019
- AMaggie D· September 18th, 2019The friendliness and upbeat attitudes of the tour leaders made the tour very relaxed and enjoyable. Everything was well organized and the daily itinerary was always interesting and fun! Nash, Issa and Muriuki all had so much knowledge to share of the areas we visited and the many cultures we were exposed to.Show moreTrip date: March 2019
- AJessica F· September 18th, 2019The main reason I would recommend Intrepid to others is their philosophy on responsible travel. I feel that the experiences offered as part of the trip, as well as interactions with the local community that occurred on the trip, were beneficial and not harmful. For this reason, I believe Intrepid is a strong competitor out there for responsible and ethical travel, and am highly likely to travel with them again.Show moreTrip date: March 2019
- AAndreas M· September 18th, 2019Overall this trip was amazing, I really enjoyed a lot of aspect of it. The ethics of the organisation and the trip were amazing (specifically the support to local communities and ethics towards wildlife), the locals that we met were great, Nash was a great guide who really encouraged me to find the nuances of different cultures. What we did was beyond what I had prepared myself for, and prior to starting I was mildly concerned for my safety, but at no point whilst on the trip did I feel unsafe. Whilst there are aspect which I think can be improved, these by no means diminished the experience overall.Show moreTrip date: March 2019

- ALeona G· September 18th, 2019Friendly group, great tour leader and staff, excellent food, high standards of hygiene, well organized and good communication from the leader about daily itinerary and our responsibilities which were shared equally among the group. I cannot give enough praise to our tour leader Victor, chef Emmanuel and driver Bonifus who were always very polite, informative and fun. They were very accommodating and encouraged the sharing of camp duties such as washing up and changing seats daily on the truck. It lead to developing a great atmosphere of friendly cooperation and fun among the group which really added to our trip. This was our honeymoon and we would very much like to return to explore more of Africa with Intrepid.Show moreTrip date: January 2019
- AKirsten M· September 18th, 2019Joe and I were on our honeymoon and had an amazing time! Victor our guide was excellent. He had loads of information to tell us and camping in the Serengeti was amazing. The food was good considering we were camping- especially the soup. You could easily joke with victor and he made my husband and I feel very comfortable and part of a great travelling team. Joe and I were late for the ferry and he waited for us patiently like a true super hero. We feel very lucky to have had victor, Bonnie and sunshine!!Show moreTrip date: January 2019
- CHCatherine· August 19th, 2019Amazing trip led by the ever-cheerful Nash, Simon (chef) and Dan (driver). They were professional, fun and informative. There was a good mix of cultural experiences and wildlife on this tour. Got to meet some lovely local people and learnt a lot about the food, customs and way of life in a very sensitive and ethical way which I appreciated. I didn’t feel like a tourist, but more of a visitor being welcomed into the villages. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater were breathtakingly beautiful and we saw some incredible game. Camping in public campsites was simple, but most had good facilities and is probably one of the most affordable ways to travel if you’re willing to rough it a bit. Recommend earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise and would not expect to be able to upgrade because they are not always available. This is for people who enjoy camping. Having been used to camping around New Zealand, I was very impressed by the facilities and availability of Wifi in most spots along the way. Food was great. Transportation very comfortable. Really enjoyed this trip and would go on another in a heartbeat.Show moreTrip date: August 2019
