- Lorre· March 29th, 2024I booked this tour 9 months in advance. I had no communication from tour, radar. Or from Australian adventures about any changes that were made to THE itinerary to the departure time to the tour company. Nothing. I was waiting to hear from them at some point I never did and since I started this trip 2 months in advans. I unfortunately forgot to check Australian adventures website. Where some of the changes were listed, the information on tour radar's website is not correct and not up-to-date. They dropped the departure time off the itinerary and changed it from 8 AM to 7 AM, and they also changed the tour company. And subcontracted it out to a company called under down under which is a local tasmanian company. They may be a good computer, not I don't really know all I know is I missed the pick up time. I tried to contact them. They came back to get me. The hostel was kicking me out of my room. So I to pack up my stuff so the tour guide driver actually came to the hospital 3 × 2 get me. While the other people were at the Salamanca market, but at times the third time came. He was really p***** off that he had to keep coming back and for me. I just tried to ask him some questions. As to what was going on and he did not want to answer any questions. He called his boss and basically kicked me off the tour. And wouldn't let me talk to this boy either. And all of this could have been, you know, didn't have to happen? Everybody was at fault including me for not trying to contact them more. But they never contacted me once. I vote and they change that didn't tell me and I don't know who else all I know is I got left behind. I had to find a hotel for the week. Book day tours to go see some of Tasmania and they were wonderful so, but I wish I could have gone on the tour. I paid for but it didn't work out and just be aware that Australian adventures may change your itinerary. You're picked up time who is actually taking you around Tasmania and not telling you any of it? Which is a shame because Tasmania is beautiful and I only got to see not more than an hour out of the whole Bart 3 days in a row. Otherwise everything was too far away. But Tasmanian is lovely. I just question the values of Australian adventures and tour. Radar needs to keep a better check on the companies. They're representing to make sure that their stuff is up-to-date. I don't know how often Australian adventures expected me to check their website before I left. I was thinking they might send me an email and say looking forward to seeing you on our tour on Saturday. Make sure you're in the lobby at 7 AM for your pick up. Have a great trip. But you know none of that? Now they're keeping all my money and telling me like most travel companies are nowadays. Just contact your Travel Insurance. No I paid for a tour. I wanted a tour. I'm sorry that this is grumpy. And he had to come back and get me several times but I actually couldn't met up with the group in the evening as they were staying at the hostel anyway, even if I missed the departure in the morning. I still would have met up with them in the evening so it was a disaster and all I can say is buyer beware... I hope the people who actually went on the trip which is about 20 people on the bus, had a good time because the weather it was raining the first couple days in Hobart area and it finally cleared up the last day or 2.Show moreTrip date: March 2024

- AAAly· January 21st, 2023The trip was very nice. the places we stayed in were ok, 2 of the 3 places we stayed in had small rooms which wasn't very practical. The highlight of the tour was the guide (Steve). he indeed knows a lot about Tasmania and explained everything to us. He is a very nice guy and took us on many trails and showed us many things.Show moreTrip date: January 2023
