Although the northern lights weren’t their most vibrant, this tour had beautiful beaches with ice, a fun 4wd in snow out to an ice caves, humpback whales, the historical Wilderness Center, a spa, a horse farm and the most wonderful and thoughtful guide, Hjalti. Our group bonded well becoming friends. The accommodations were all lovely. Iceland's beauty exceeded my expectations (I had a feeling that was going to happen) but the overall was made a million times better by our guide Vjeran, who squeezed in many extra stops along the way (plus he was an incredible selfie stick!). His passion and love for his role and Iceland was infectious and energizing. - Kashaine· October 27th, 2024I thoroughly enjoyed this trip! I created unforgettable bonds with some folks on tour and learned quite a bit about the people and culture of Iceland. It’s difficult to consolidate the experience because the folks we interacted with - those who led the glacier hike to the ice cave, the woman who was seated on the cold/wet ground to fit us with crampons, hosts at each hotel/lodge and last but absolutely not least our absolutely phenomenal tour guide Siggi, made this trip memorable. The itinerary was overall great. Although a tad more time at the nature bath would’ve been good. 2 of the lodges were on the smaller side and the food was great in some places but limited in others. Our guide from Arctic Adventures (Siggi) called us his little sheep. And we were! Because he educated us on the history of his country and people with such intrigue, that I found the information easy to retain. I even connected parallels to my culture and theirs. He made adequate stops for snacks or bio breaks and directed us to where we needed to be. I appreciated the patience he had with us. As someone who appreciates cultures, I have a lot of respect for the resilience of their people. They are hard-working and proud of their culture. First 3 accommodations were very basic. Bus quite small we were last on and had the back seat most of the way. Would probably not do this gory of bus tour again.Show more
