We have experienced this tour as one of a million tour. It has been excellent from begin till the end. The excursions were interesting, beautiful, exciting especially the ziplining and our guide Bryan was top of the bill. He guided the groep with a lot of passion and enthusiasm and told us beautiful stories about nature, animals and history. The lodges were very comfortable with own bathroom and lovely bed at the edge of the jungle. Every day we got lovely food and drinks. Again thanks for all. We have had a brilliant time!!!
- by Pauline DukkerLoved my tour! My guide Frankie was very knowledgeable, kind and accomodating, going out of his way to tailor the trip to meet everyone’s needs. The activities were great, we got to see so much wildlife and have incredible experience’s together. The lodge was very homely and comfortable with good food and friendly accomodating staff. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!

I would not book a tour again with Intrepid Travel. They did not ask for my arriving flight information. When I gave it to them, they said they could not get me to the start of the tour even though it was listed as part of the tour that they would meet me at the airport. They informed me I needed to find my own way to “the lodge”. This is the Amazon jungle and they didn’t tell me what lodge. Very disorganized. My room and towel were very dirty when I arrived. While the guide was nice, he seemed bored and tired most of the time I was there. It is the end of the season, but I was getting frustrated as it was hard to get here and I wanted to learn!
- by Carol HallOnce again a dream that I realize Gorgoeous trip. This trip will not so fantastatic without Carmen our tour leader. She has excellent knowledge who was passionate about her country and love to share her culture and heritage with the group. She did that with her heart. Very good other guide also Keke for the Colca Canyon,... Varied activities, historical, homestay (communities), landscape, some animals (condors, other birds...), pisco sour, ... And also the wonderfull Inca trail (Yes I did it ;-))).Magic moments when we arrive to see the Matchu Pitchu after the 4 days of the trail. In more very good group good mood, atmosphere, ecouragments, partying... Good accomodation (big room, good located, ), good oragnized, excellent night bus (very confortable, space realy better than in Europe) . There are some long travel but it is like that. I come back with a lot of stars in my eyes !

It was an interesting experience in the jungle. The lodge was simple but we had a guide who comes out of that area and showed us a lot of nice places. Beeing on the boat was the most refreshing time of the day.

Our guide Romulo was amazong, has a lot of knowledge and eager to share with us all the exciting details of the area, animals, plants and the culture. Our accomodation was vers clean, you don’ t really expect that in the forest but they clean the rooms every day. The food was excellent too! Couldn’t really say anything bad but prepare for the 10 hour long bus ride because it was not a pleasure to ride. the roads are really bad the driver was honking like every min.. but it was worth for the tours.
- by Eszter Dr. WittamnnIt’s not even worth one star , most unsafe tour middle of jungle whith the most horrible raisist people who only treat you well if you Spanish speaker , First of all there is no clean water for you just muddy river water for your shower . Secound no power no wife no reception at all only from 4 o’clock to 5 . My roof was licking so bad due to rain but unfortunately they had no empty room to change my room and end up to make me to leave the tour at secound day and the didn’t return my 1200 $ money . They charge me for transportation but they didn’t provide me any type of transportation, they left me by the road middle of jungle where I could be raped or killed or ingerd by animal . Pleas do not book Nicky lodge at all . There is many lodge that can make your travel amazing . Also this lodge had promotion for ecuadorian people for 100$ and full of people who singing and clabb and play guitar all time whith loud music and destroyed the nature by their song. Pleas give favour your self and avoid this company.

Amazon Tours is not a 5 star tour . It is a 5 star experience! Everything from camping in the forest to sitting in the middle of the Amazon River watching the sun set is amazing. The guides are knowledgeable and fun. The meals are simple, well prepared and laid out in a pleasing buffet. The rooms are old, comfortable and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Get your sunscreen bug spray ready and have a 5 star experience on a budget!
- by (jack) jackson. S LI was the only passenger on this tour and Jennifer, my guide, was excellent. All the meals were prepared to perfection and the excursions were at my request. The only down side was the accommodations. The room was tiny and did not have air conditioning.

The private charter from Manaus. I enjoyed the boat itself, all the activities and our local guide was superb.

First of all - the Inkaterra residence is worth a 5* rating ! However, the overall management by Limatours is below expectations. The Hacienda Concepcion lodge is actually shut down since the start of the pandemic and will remain closed until at least next peak season. Two days before arrival, we received a message that we would be relocated to another lodge (Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica), which would count as an upgrade - this is the more fancy lodge indeed, so also beware of additional costs for your daily pisco sour ;-). We got an updated itinerary and all seemed to be managed well. However, the offering of Reserva Amazonica and Hacienda Concepcion is different, because well, different lodge ... So if you would want to book this tour because of the mentioned activities, don't. Limatours still claims the H.C. lodge is open, even though we physically went over there and everything is completely empty. As you have no internet in the lodge, it is also very difficult to have those last-minute discussions. The Reserva Amazonica lodge is very luxurious though, with nice food and a really nice setting (expensive though). I wouldn't recommend it for adventurous travelers; most of the activities are quite close to the lodge itself, so no real wildlife will be found - it has a very touristy and pre-set vibe to it. The original Hacienda Concepcion is really in the jungle and has a bit more "into the wild" feeling to it. If you'd still want to go to any of the Inkaterra lodges, make a booking directly on their website so you know what to expect and avoid the ping-pong with Limatours.

This trip was truly amazing. Our guide Anderson was so knowledgeable about the Amazon and just a great bloke. We had a great bunch of people from all over the world to enjoy the tour with. Food was plentiful and delicious. Sleeping in hammocks in the jungle and catching fish and Caiman were highlights. If you have an adventurous spirit you will love this!
- by Kirily IsherwoodI booked this tour thinking it would majority of the 5 days in the jungle. Turns out, Bamba only picked me up in the evening of day 1 to put me in an overnight bus. The next day, my morning was spent at the eco lodge office waiting for the rest of the group. Day 4, was again mostly spent in the office waiting for the taxi to take me back to the overnight bus. I did have the option of walking around Puerto Maldonado. Honestly, there wasn't much to do there. Day 5, I arrived at Cusco bus station with the understanding that there would be someone to pick me up. After waiting 45 mins, someone from Bamba finally told me there wouldn't be anyone and I should take a taxi. Not impressed with the communication. Amazon Planet is the eco lodge I stayed at. They were fantastic! Meals were delicious, room was well kept, community excellent. Jungle walks were enjoyable. Only wish I could have seen and done more. If I go back, I'd book with Amazon Planet directly.

Words cannot describe accurately how amazing this trip was for both of us. The activities were well planned out, the accommodation extremely comfortable, we particularly liked the lagoon in front of the lodge Our tour guide was highly organized and we all knew everything we needed to the day before it was required, communication was clear and detailed. He even gave us great tips of where to buy a pair of binoculars in Lago Agrio, which was appreciated. There was plenty of delicious food, we never went hungry. The lodge overall in the middle of the jungle where you can see everything. thank you again.
- by Giulia TagarelliAs a traveler, I must debunk the news outlets misconception that Ecuador is not safe. My recent trip proved otherwise, I was fortunate to have a very friendly tour guide who not only ensured my safety but also made my journey unforgettable. Exploring Ecuador's great nature revealed breathtaking scenic views that left me in awe of this country's beauty. People genuinely care about their environment. Everyone seemed dedicated to preserving Ecuador's natural wonders. Ecuador is a country that works tirelessly to protect its environment. I was impressed by the sustainable initiatives in place, from eco-friendly accommodations reserved by my guide to strict conservation policies. My guide always available, thanks to his flexibility and punctuality. Whether it was adjusting my itinerary or ensuring timely pickups, My guide made every effort to accommodate my needs. Lastly, I was amazed by my guide's extensive knowledge of Ecuador's history, culture, and biodiversity. His insights added depth to my experiences and enriched my journey. Overall, my trip to Ecuador was not just an adventure but also an eye-opening experience about conservation and appreciation for the environment.
