New Zealand North Island Tour Companies

I had the most amazing time on my tour of the north island. Our tour leader, Rhys, was incredible. He was really knowledgeable, fun and he made our trip truly unforgettable. We saw some amazing places in the north island. My highlight was the Maori experience as well as the glow worm caves. I would highly recommend the tour. If you’re thinking about booking it, do it!

Rhys was incredible. He really brought the group together and ensured everyone had a great time. I enjoyed the laughs we all shared and his knowledge of and appreciation for New Zealand.

This trip changed my life. I’ve never had soo much fun in my life and I never imagined I’d get to push myself to do 6 new things I’ve never done before (white water rafting, zip lining, sky diving, bungee jumping, cave exploring, and surfing). I’m still soo sad that it’s over! Telli was a great guide and I had a group that was what dreams are made of. Best trip ever, with my only regret being that I did one week. If I return to do the Southern Island, I’ll ONLY look for Wild Kiwi as an operator. Thank you soo much, much love and appreciation for you guys!!

My group was phenomenal, we all had a blast together. Our guide was very communicative, using WhatsApp and a photo circle to share information, resources and photos. I’m not used to hopping hostels, so that was a bit rough, definitively pack light and try to be organized. I should have done a better job researching temperature as well - as it got much colder than I was expecting. Overall the trip was incredible and I did everything I wanted to do.

I really enjoyed the tour & the people in my group. Our CEO had great communication & was friendly. New Zealand is beautiful & this tour is a perfect start for a solo traveler who hasn’t been to New Zealand before. If you don’t mind hostels then you’ll enjoy it :)

this tour was just a huge disappointment, this is overpriced, unorganized and leaves you sorry for all the money you spent. of course the sights you will see are amazing, but the tour itself just makes you sad. the guide had absolutely no plan at anytime what was going on, due to this lack of organization, it was always quite hectic rushing from one place to the next. also I made bookings for activities back when I booked the tour itself months in advance, just to realize once I was at the activity it was not prebooked. here it’s advertised as 18-39, which was actually not true, more like an average of 45+. the hostels are not high-end, they are just normal average youth hostels. I did reach out to them on the second day, explaining the circumstances, but sadly did not receive a very constructive answer and no resulting action. honestly, I‘m just mad.

Everyday was different. A well planned out tour giving a rich experience. You want to know what Maori culture is in a short time? This is it!!!!!!

What an amazing way to experience the North Island. Pretty much every day was a worthwhile experience whether or not you book optionals, and everything was extremely well organized. The staff went above and beyond to make this journey unforgettable in the best way possible.

Loved exploring New Zealand. The Tour Guide was super, very friendly, and caring. The bus was very bad. The itinerary was not accurate plus not giving you enough detail to know how to pack for the trip. The 3-star is because of the great tour leader otherwise I am pretty sure my rating would be 2-star.

I really enjoyed and had a good vocation with this tour. Our guide (Robbie John) was great taking care of us. The program is good and would recommend friends for this excellent one.

The tour went really well. The co-ordination of the drivers everywhere we went was amazing. They were prompt,kind and very helpful. I could not fault them. So whoever organises the tour did a great job. We were unaware that we were the only people going on this tour but once we adjusted it was great. I would like to comment on the huge distance we had to do to get to Piahia. If I could suggest maybe a stopover at another place of interest on the way would be great. I would recommend this tour if you want to get an overview of the North Island of New Zealand

The tour was very enjoyable and well organised. Everything went like clockwork and we saw some beautiful and interesting scenery and learned elements of New Zealand history, particularly from the Waitangi Treaty visit. I am happy to recommend this tour.

All excellent - loved Dexter and John - until the last day. Too much driving that day, lunch hour was rushed, and then the Wellington Travelodge wasn’t a good choice. Lots of mistakes checking in - someone was already in the room they gave us! And the elevators could not service the number of people staying there - made us worried about getting out in an emergency. One of our friends also got locked behind a fire door after using the bathroom on the 6th floor! We had to go search for her and could barely hear her calling behind the fire door. Bay of Islands and Rotorua were terrific - the latter dinner and culture show in particular were compelling. And we enjoyed the variety of people on the tour.

Beautiful area, coach and driver good. Guides mediocre. No real forewarning or effort to find meaningful solutions to activities cancelled due to cyclone. Just. Sorry about that. Luckily fo free days the locales are so great, we found what to do. I also honk TourRadar gives mediocre service and will not recommend you

Hope, did everything she could to make the tour as enjoyable as possible. I was disappointed in TRAFALGAR. there was to much downtime. The seven day tour was only 4 days of events. You should have been able to book Milford Sound in advance from Queenstown.

Summer did an excellent job guiding us around and telling us all about her home country.
