Victor was really lovely as a guide. I so appreciated his level of knowledge and care, his warmth with the group, and his ability to make every part of the trip fun and relaxing.

- by RhonaWe have experienced this tour as one of a million tour. It has been excellent from begin till the end. The excursions were interesting, beautiful, exciting especially the ziplining and our guide Bryan was top of the bill. He guided the groep with a lot of passion and enthusiasm and told us beautiful stories about nature, animals and history. The lodges were very comfortable with own bathroom and lovely bed at the edge of the jungle. Every day we got lovely food and drinks. Again thanks for all. We have had a brilliant time!!!

Loved Peru. I found the people take great pride in their cities, culture and history and it shows in how clean the streets are, how great the food is and how wonderful the guides are. Loved the wildlife, the scenery and archeological sites too. My only downside was the airport.. Delayed flights and when trying to return home, no signage to show the directions from domestic (Cusco to Lima) to international section of airport. When I asked for help, I was told to go out the door, come back in the door next to it, only to find out that I needed to go outside, go to section adjacent and then go upstairs to departures which also had no sign there for "international departures". The LATAM staff gave me the run around on my luggage. One person said it would go automatically to Newark another said pick up your luggage in Lima and transfer to United. My luggage never arrived in Lima nor in Newark. When I arrived in Newark the United people said that LATAM was lying as it is never sent on directly and had to be collected and transferred by hand in Lima. I had to file a lost baggage claim upon final arrival in Canada . Still waiting for news.
- by Paula QuillinanThe entire experience exceeded our expectations but without a doubt the highlight was our incredible guide Vanessa Vasquez. Not matter what crazy extra request I through at her she came through with more than I asked for. She even put up with my constant requests for how to say things in Spanish. The main thing that impressed me was how she made every member of our group feel like they were special and was able to keep things fun and friendly even with some clashing personalities within the group.

I would not book a tour again with Intrepid Travel. They did not ask for my arriving flight information. When I gave it to them, they said they could not get me to the start of the tour even though it was listed as part of the tour that they would meet me at the airport. They informed me I needed to find my own way to “the lodge”. This is the Amazon jungle and they didn’t tell me what lodge. Very disorganized. My room and towel were very dirty when I arrived. While the guide was nice, he seemed bored and tired most of the time I was there. It is the end of the season, but I was getting frustrated as it was hard to get here and I wanted to learn!
- by Carol HallOnce again a dream that I realize Gorgoeous trip. This trip will not so fantastatic without Carmen our tour leader. She has excellent knowledge who was passionate about her country and love to share her culture and heritage with the group. She did that with her heart. Very good other guide also Keke for the Colca Canyon,... Varied activities, historical, homestay (communities), landscape, some animals (condors, other birds...), pisco sour, ... And also the wonderfull Inca trail (Yes I did it ;-))).Magic moments when we arrive to see the Matchu Pitchu after the 4 days of the trail. In more very good group good mood, atmosphere, ecouragments, partying... Good accomodation (big room, good located, ), good oragnized, excellent night bus (very confortable, space realy better than in Europe) . There are some long travel but it is like that. I come back with a lot of stars in my eyes !

Flexible and very helpful in last minute changes when we had to postpone the trip. Everything was organised smoothly during the tour, with knowledgeable local guides at every location.
- by Stefan TaalI didn't book a predetermined tour, but requested specific destinations. These were then combined to create a 10-day tour. The guides Joseph and Diego took good care of me and tried to help me with any questions as quickly as possible. My destinations were varied and I travelled from Quito on a round trip through Ecuador. I visited the surroundings of Quito, the Cotopaxi volcano, Banos with an excursion to a waterfall and then I spent 3 days in the jungle in the Amazon region. It was really great, I had lots of new experiences and got to know lots of people. My accommodation ranged from private accommodation to a hostel. But always in private rooms. That's why the price was a bit higher. I paid around €1800 for the 10 days. I also received help with finding reasonably priced excursions in Peru to Paracas and the Ica Desert for my onward journey, which was very helpful.

My first time in South America traveling alone, I was lost between all the different options for the tours online. I came on UnuRaymi’s website by accident and wrote to them on WhatsApp. They were incredibly responsive and took the time to structure the perfect tour for me. Starting at Lima, all the way to Cusco, the rainbow mountain, the amazon jungle and Machu Picchu, I felt very well taken care of and I would recommend them to anyone trying to travel to Peru !
- by Amir ShahidiMy experience with Unu Raymi was great! I chose the "South Peru adventure" and added a visit to the Ballestas/Huacachina at the start and one extra day in the Amazon at the end. Tailoring the trip and negotiating about the different activities before and during the trip was easy and done in good spirit. All the different trips around Cusco (and Ica) as well as the main trip to Choquequirao and Machu Picchu were well organized and I felt like I got to see the best parts of the Andean region. The guides were all experts and I felt safe and part of the team at all places I visited. My guide for the main trek (Choquequirao trek) was Teo, and one might think going alone with a guide that hardly speaks english as a foreigner who hardly speaks spanish would be difficult, but we got along very well and I put a lot of trust on him, for which he delivered fully. - I also thought I needed to buy my own snacks for the hikes, but Teo kept handing me different healthy varieties on each day of the hike..! Another shoutout to our guide Ana in the Ica region, for the ability to take care of the group with different cultures and ages so well. I'm sure nobody felt like an outsider on that day! The hotels were good budget level hotels, apart from two. The first one in Lima was luxurious, even had their own doorman! The one that fell a bit behind, due to a small insect problem was in Santa Teresa, but that was not part of the original itinerary. It got selected on the same day because I got ill and needed to stop the hike to recover. The illness (salmonella) prevented me from going to Amazon, which was a decision we did together with the organizor. So my review is excluding the Amazon activities. For the same price, I got to experience the Q’eswachaka Rope Bridge (great for someone who wants a little break from the car circus in Cusco;)), Pisac/Ollantaytambo tour and a sunrise in Tres Cruces/tour in Paucartambo. I feel like my Andean experience got richer because of the plan B. I also got an extra free day in Cusco, which I used to wander around the north side of the city (Saqsaywaman, Q'enqo, Zona X) The plan B activities were agreed together with the Unu Raymi team (James and Edwin) and in a similar situation, another traveller could choose something else. For me though, it was a good alternative and I feel like I saw everything in Cusco I desired and on my next South American adventure I can focus fully on Amazon. The best part about getting a "complete package" with Unu Raymi, was that I never needed to pay the various taxes or fees for entering the different activities, which were clearly not taken care of in the majority of the local "walk-in" operator tours. I often shared a car with people using other operators, and heared the "Okay it is time to collect the entry fees, except for you, you are already paid in advance", which made me feel special :D The missing star is from just a handful of occasions when I wasn't sure what is to happen next, if there is a car coming for me now or in an hour. Those situations were not many and always got sorted out, but at heat of the moment, an European traveller felt a bit lost in the big country. I think for an adventurous soul, who has some urge of getting off the beaten everyday-tourist path, Unu Raymi is a great choice! Mikko

- by William WatsonThis tour exceeded my expectations. We were shown some truly amazing locations in Ecuador. Our guide (Franklin Vinansaca ) was informative and always generous with his time. He had a genuine affection for this country that infected everyone on this tour. So many "WOW" moments in such a short period of time!

The title of the tour is accurate. We had an awesome time. Our tour guide, Alfonso, was excellent. He quickly figured out our abilities and interests and tailored the tour accordingly. He was very knowledgeable about Ecuador and gave us an insider's perspective. There were a variety of activities and adventures and the accommodations were perfect. We could not have asked for a better trip. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who's up for an adventure.
- by Craig FoxThe Ecuador multi sport trip from Adventure Journeys was well planned and the itinerary was excellent. Our guide Jorge was amazing! My son and I had the best time. I can’t wait to tell everyone I know how incredible Ecuador is!

Excellent itinerary featuring the everyday Ecuador and not tourist spots. A fantastic guide, amazing accommodation and cultural experiences. A very expensive tour but worth every cent. Galapagos was the only disappointment.

The tour was truly amazing. I especially appreciate that it had two entrances to Machu Picchu and the perfect amount of days in the Amazons. Everything was well organized, we had great tour guides, and it was a real luxury to have everything planned and organized for you.

Amazon Tours is not a 5 star tour . It is a 5 star experience! Everything from camping in the forest to sitting in the middle of the Amazon River watching the sun set is amazing. The guides are knowledgeable and fun. The meals are simple, well prepared and laid out in a pleasing buffet. The rooms are old, comfortable and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Get your sunscreen bug spray ready and have a 5 star experience on a budget!
- by (jack) jackson. S LI was the only passenger on this tour and Jennifer, my guide, was excellent. All the meals were prepared to perfection and the excursions were at my request. The only down side was the accommodations. The room was tiny and did not have air conditioning.
