Although Argentina is a beautiful country that did not disappoint, as it exceeded our expectations, we regret the poor planning, corners cut and subcontracted tour companies selected by the tour company. This was not a fully guided tour, and for this reason, in hindsight, we should have made our own reservations and arrangements because it would have cost us less while allowing us to have gotten more value for our money; for this we can only blame ourselves. 1 - Although the Dazzler Hotel in Buenos Aires is located in a nice neighborhood in Buenos Aires, the metro stop near the hotel was being repaired causing us to have to walk a very long distance (25 minutes) to the nearest functioning station. Although 25 minutes is not a lot of time, if you want to walk back at night it is not ideal. We should have been placed in a more public transportation friendly hotel. 2 - The tango show that was included stated on the itinerary that we would be transferred to and from the hotel, but then the itinerary we were provided after purchase stated we has to pay to be taken to the tango show. We brought it up to the company, and although they said it would be provided, the transfer was a no-show. We had to take an Uber, but luckily this was refunded by the tango show establishment. Nevertheless, this caused us to feel anxiety for the rest of the trip because we did not trust that all of our transfer would actually take place or would be on time. We also did not get a notice that the driver would not show; instead, when the driver was a no-show, and we called the emergency number is when we were told to take ourselves. This caused us to be late and miss most of the tango lesson not to mention arrive all stressed. As for the dinner and show, although the food was good and the show was excellent, the seats we were given were so bad that the only reason I was actually able to enjoy the show is because of pure luck in that the seats right in front of the stage were empty. Of course, my neck hurt by the end of the night because even though I was able to see, I had to hold my head up for the duration of the show. We should not have been given the cheapest grade tickets. Surely, there were better places to sit we just were not given them. 3 - The hotel room we were placed in a Calafate amplifies the complaint that we were given the lowest quality across the board. All of the hotel’s rooms were located in a corridor that was shielded from the noise in the lobby (first floor) or dining area (second floor) with a clear glass door --- except ours. We were given the room immediately behind the receptionist and could hear all of the conversations taking place at the receptionist’s area and lobby. Clearly, the room we were given is the room that would otherwise go to the receptionist or employee who would be manning the front desk after hours, even though that was not the case because their shift ended at 11 pm, such that they would go home to sleep. This was unacceptable. We should have been given a room behind the glass doors to guard our sleep and shield us from the noise and music playing loudly in the lobby. Additionally, the pillows given at the hotel were so thick and hard that for the remainder of the trip I had a severe neck ache!!! When I asked for the pillows to be replaced, I was provided different but equally thick and hard pillows. Unacceptable. The lack of good sleep the 2 nights there negatively impacted the remainder of the trip because I was not able to “catch up” on my sleep! 4 - The tour operator stated we would be picked-up to be taken to the Glacier between 8:00 – 8:30, but we were not picked-up until 9:30. This meant we waited 1 hour and 30 minutes in the lobby. This wait time was excessive and filled with anxiety as we kept wondering if we had been forgotten as we were for the tango show. Really? 1.5 hour wait. 5 - The entry tickets for Iguazu Fall were not included causing us to have to stress out over the process of how we were going to buy them on our own. Although we went through the trouble of purchasing them, as we were told we had to, the tour operated for both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides made us wait a long time as they had to stand in a long line to purchase tickets for others in our groups who did not have the tickets. This caused us to waste a lot of time at the falls. We should have been placed in a tour where the tour operated either had all the tickets before hand or required everyone to arrive with their tickets already purchased. 6 - We had a dinner at the Argentine Experience scheduled for the night of our arrival at 7:30 pm. The issue was that our plane did not land until after 7 pm! Once we realized this and that there was no way we would make it, it was very stressful. We were able to have the company change it for the following day, but that came with an equal amount of stress for different reasons. The following day, we took the Iguazu tour to the falls on the Argentinian side, and although it stated on the itinerary it would take a total of 7 hours, we figured that since pick-up was at 7:30 am, we would be back to the hotel no later than 5 pm to freshen up and rest a bit before. Instead, the tour lasted a total of 11 hours!!! We did not return to our hotel until 6:30 pm. I took a shower, but my mother did not – after sweating all day at the park because she felt we would arrive late (as we had to the tango show). The reason it took 11 hours is because A LOT of time was wasted buying the tickets and taking bathroom breaks. Also, this tour was made up of different people with different interests; some people went on a boat tour, while others like us did not want to take because we did not want to get wet. We had to wait for the people who opted for the boat tour. Instead, we should have been placed in a tour where NO one wanted to go on the optional excursion so that we would not have to “kill” time waiting for others. All of this caused the tour to exceed 7 hours by 4 hours. Eleven hours in the heat left us wiped out, especially since we had a dinner to attend later that day. In retrospect, although the tour appears nice and seamless on paper, it did not translate to reality.

For me Iguazu was the highlight of travelling with you, for my husband El Calafate plus all our wonderful guides. Both for the same reason that they were stunningly breathtaking. Wished we had done the ice trekking. Our regret was we didn't book this and didn't realize what it was/ how amazing it would be, until we arrived. All our guides were great. Our first guide in Buenos Aires (Marcela) was lovely, really relaxed and it was more like having a friend with you than a guide but with all the knowledge. Margarita in Iguazu was amazing. Again so lovely and so friendly and really cared we had a great time. Our guide on the group tour for Perito was also fantastic - very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. We could not fault any of our guides. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday Helen and Ben

It was a wonderful experience to be in Argentina under your team's care. I loved all the hotel that was handpicked by Say Hueque. Especially the Brick Hotel. So beautiful and great location! Definitely visiting the Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil. Breath-taking view and an experience we can never forget. A definite wonder. We had a truly great time exploring the Iguazu Jungle. Regarding the guides, I should definitely mention Carla and Adrian!!! Genuine service and care. Always there to assist whenever we need.

The favorite excursion was Iguazu Falls, with the best memory being the boat ride into the waterfalls. Martin was a very good guide, always attentive and responsive to our needs. We also enjoyed the guide in El Calafate that took us to the glacier. He was very informative, entertaining, and helpful throughout the trip. We were disappointed and fatigued with all of the flight changes and delays. I understand it is beyond your control, but it diminished our enjoyment of the trip.

I salute you now for such an incredible vacation, filled with SO MANY highlights. I also want to give a big salute to all Say Hueque personnel with whom we interacted, especially Martin', but also all the drivers of all the transfers. And I should point out that we very much enjoyed the Palermo L hotel, not noisy at all as I feared, the most conscientious personnel, especially Jose, but also because it was only 1 1/2 blocks from La Cabrera!! All the best to you for ALL the individual steps you had to complete to put this all together!

It was a great pleasure meeting Martin in BA and giving us lots of very good advice for things to do during our visit to the city. We booked our short tour of BA and Iguazu Falls through TourRadar, and they assigned the arrangements to Say Hueque. Our Travel Advisor at Say Hueque was Lujan and the booking process provided by her was excellent and efficient. Our favourite excursion was, of course, to Iguazu Falls - it is a truly magnificent site. We also had a wonderful time in BA, exploring some of the historic sites and museums, meeting the friendly, local people, eating the local food and drinking the local wine. We stayed in L'Hotel in Palermo Soho and we enjoyed it, especially the friendly reception staff. All guides and drivers assigned by Say Hueque were punctual, very friendly and knowledgable. All pickups went like clockwork. Everything on our tour with Say Hueque was exceptional. Our whole trip to Argentina was a memorable experience.

The booking process was smooth. The hotel in Puerto Iguazu was our favorite but all hotels were really nice. Our favourite excursion was probably the mini trekking. So unique. Your supplier in Puerto Iguazu was not in par with the others - we had two guides (one for each day) and they were not as professional as the others.

We wanted the help of a reputable agency to plan our trip. We also were overwhelmed with all of the possible places to go and Say Hueque made it easy with their trips. Favorite hotel was Dazzler Polo and least favorite was Aeroparque Inn and Suites. The best excursion was Iguazu Falls. The team from Antartur were amazing and René from Ecoturismo Iguazú was phenomenal. He used all of his connections to get us around which were key because the amount of tourists in Iguazú was substantial. The El Calafate trip could have been improved. We were scheduled to have a day of excursions, a day off, and a half day there before flying back. Because of the Christmas holiday, however, it meant that we couldn’t book the excursion we wanted for the free day (Estancia Cristina) but we did a glacier boat ride. And the following day we were in El Calafate until almost 5PM. In the future, it will help for the team to ensure travelers have something to do during the Christmas holiday and to have that booked far in advance (and an earlier flight out would’ve been great). It affected scheduling for Iguazú and we were on a flight every day for three days which wasn’t so fun! We hope to be back in Argentina in the future and will definitely book throughout Say Hueque :).

Before any memories start to fade, we wanted to let you know right away what a fabulously planned trip we had. Before our trip, we had lots of questions and concerns about how the arrangements would be made. The day by day itinerary, along with the overview itinerary, were extremely useful tools. Every single organization that Say Hueque worked with did exactly what was outlined in our itinerary every single time. We never had to wait for someone to show up. We never arrived somewhere unexpected. All the arrangements were handled smoothly and efficiently. Throughout the trip we talked about how impressed we were with your work. Thank you for making this trip to a fascinating part of the world absolutely joyful. We were able to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Patagonian area without needing worrying about mundane travel details. We know our time in Patagonia was enhanced due to the all the work you did to make our trip a success. We send you heart filled thanks.

We are all back to work at the hospital and everyone is jealous of our trip!It was a pleasure to work with you and your colleagues at Say Hueque and I would definitely recommend your company to anyone planning a trip to Argentina. Booking flights and hotels through Say Hueque made the entire planning process so much easier. And the Say Hueque employees are incredibly helpful and knowledgable, offering many useful tips and suggestions along the way. This is especially helpful since we were not fluent in Spanish! We had such an amazing vacation that I would recommend traveling to Argentina and booking through Say Hueque to anyone I know! All the best, Layne April, 2012
