- HHarrySwinney· October 20th, 2019Our trip was 19 days progressing from East half of Java, Bali, Flores Island and Komodo Park. Car travel time/distances were extensive through Java (some 6-9 hours) with slow/erratic traffic. Our time in Java was rushed and too intensive. Sites were very distanced between stops. Bali was much more interesting and culturally vibrant. Tour guides not very punctual. Flores/Komodo park and 3-day boat excursion was fascinating! Sea life/coral Is one-of-a-kind and amazing! Manta Rays, dolphins; more impressive than the greatest zoo aquarium you will ever see. English communication with hosts was rough. Our 15meter boat ran aground a coral reef on the last evening and we were left stranded overnight with no propeller. Slightly concerning! Keep in mind, if you’re fair-skinned, expect to burn. Mosquitoes too. Nice trip with a good variety of activity, with rough, inconsistent planning and a few unforeseen complications. We still enjoyed.Show more
