- NJNick· April 10th, 2025The 6-day Circle Road Tour of Iceland took us to many spectacular sites as we drove around the country. The changes in scenery along the way never cased to impress us. Our tour director was very friendly and knowledgeable about many areas of Iceland and it's history. There were a few times when a local expert would be brought in to let know and experience even more about a particular location. The bus was very comfortable and the windows allowed for seeing the changing scenery as we ventured through the country. Our accommodations every evening were very nice. The tour group consisted of 8 travelers, including myself. I was very lucky and had a great tour guide, Andy who was so nice, friendly, patient, knowledgeable and made sure our group was well looked after. Our accommodations throughout the journey were comfortable and well-chosen, providing a warm retreat from the cold. But what truly made the trip special was our tour guide, Thomas. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and full of enthusiasm. As a bonus, he could sing, which added a fun and personal touch to the long drives. Overall, this tour was a fantastic way to experience Iceland in winter. He gave facts about the North America and Eurasian plate and how they worked. Enough to be interesting but not so much that people would be over their head with information. If you wanted more information all you had to do is ask.
