Take note that the “mahut” (elephant guards) live constantly with the elephants as a member of the family and it is an honor to them to have the opportunity to take care of the elephant and show that to foreigners. This is their way of life and as a foreigner you should respect their custom with an open mind. ”The tour operator is constantly in touch with you solving any doubt or question you may have before and during your stay. The afternoon tours around the city are fantastic, the guest house owner attention is outstanding and they try to adapt to your needs as much as possible. I would recommend this tour and elephant experience to anyone who wants to stay a short three days in Jaipur , making sure they won’t miss a single thing about culture and tradition.Show more

Trip date: December 2024 - RJRudy· March 11th, 2024The elephant sanctuary program straight up isn’t worth the money. They make you pay a crazy price which when I booked I thought was great but after talking to locals in jaipur they said I have payed 5 times to much. When it comes to working you are with the elephants for 2 or 3 hours a day which is ridiculous and about half that time you are standing around doing nothing. On the first day of being there there weren’t even any elephants in the sanctuary and there is poor communication and coordination between the people in charge with the taxi driver being late in multiple occasions. As someone who is solo travelling around India highly recommend to avoid something like this because it’s a waste of money and quite simply a scam for a supposed non profit organisation. On top of this I had to pay for extra bits such as water wifi and washing which wasn’t included in the original price.Show moreTrip date: March 2024

Accommodation is as expected but the food was totally disappointing. We eat street food and love it in India.
