- RJRudy· March 11th, 2024The elephant sanctuary program straight up isn’t worth the money. They make you pay a crazy price which when I booked I thought was great but after talking to locals in jaipur they said I have payed 5 times to much. When it comes to working you are with the elephants for 2 or 3 hours a day which is ridiculous and about half that time you are standing around doing nothing. On the first day of being there there weren’t even any elephants in the sanctuary and there is poor communication and coordination between the people in charge with the taxi driver being late in multiple occasions. As someone who is solo travelling around India highly recommend to avoid something like this because it’s a waste of money and quite simply a scam for a supposed non profit organisation. On top of this I had to pay for extra bits such as water wifi and washing which wasn’t included in the original price.Show moreTrip date: March 2024

Accommodation is as expected but the food was totally disappointing. We eat street food and love it in India. The tours of Jaipur were great with Toto our fab tuk tuk driver.Show more

Elaine· October 17th, 2019We had a fantastic time with the elephants, helping to take care of them and make chapati for them. The programme is well organised, and the staff were lovely. The 5am tuk tuk ride to work was fun, even with the crazy traffic in India!! The host family we stayed with were very welcoming and the meals were lovely. The sightseeing tours in the tuk tuk in the afternoon were very informative and we had plenty of time to visit the forts and take photos.
