    The tour was set up to be great and everything almost was. Unfortunately the group dynamic ruined a lot of the experience. I understand the company does not control who signs up, but having 12 out of 16 people people book together created a divide between the remaining solo travellers including myself. Otherwise the food, tour guide Jon and accomodation were outstanding. Would probably not book again however, would prefer to hire a car, stay in a hostel and meet other solo travellers organically. That's a personal preference.

    The trip was spoiled by the other guests. One person had booked themselves and 11 of their friends on the trip and completely took over everything (so 12 of 16 travellers were all together) I was expecting mostly other solo travellers but ended up on a group trip with people who all knew each other. Because of this I didnt feel the experience was what was adverised and left the group a day early

    I am and icelander who currently lives in Iceland and I was the driver and guide for 8 tours with Under30X in 2017. I put down Marion as the guide(group leader) but she was only the first one. I also drove with Eric, Lauren, Delphine and Jonno and each one were more AWESOME than the other. And I really hope that the sweaters I knitted for some of them have kept them warm

    U30X in Iceland was perfect. All planning was done for us and we were always well informed about the coming day's activities. Everyone, including our guide Thor, was extremely welcoming and the food was out of this world at our accommodation. An amazing experience and one that I would do again in a heartbeat. I cannot wait to go on my next U30X trip again soon!

    • How fit do I need to be for this tour?

      This tour is a good mix of activity and relaxation and includes moderate physical activities. You should expect to be active 3-4 hours most days and having an active lifestyle is helpful though not required to enjoy this amazing tour.

      On this tour you will be staying in a charming guesthouse in the countryside of Southern Iceland. The rooms are very cosy and you can even relax in the hot tubs which are onsite.

    • I am travelling solo, will I share a room with another traveller?

      If you are travelling solo you will get to share a room with another traveller of the same gender. The tour is designed for young people who want to connect with each other and make friends from around the world. If you prefer the privacy of your own room a private room can be requested for an additional cost subject to availability.

      • Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
      • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
    • Payment information
      • For any tour departing before January 31st, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 31st, 2025, a minimum payment of $195 is required to confirm your booking with Under30Experiences. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
      • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Under30Experiences will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
      • The following cards are accepted for "Under30Experiences" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
