  Firstly, I'd like to say Morocco was such a beautiful, diverse and culturally-rich country, however, I want to make this review about Guided Morocco Tours. The tour "group" just consisted of myself and my girlfriend with our driver, Hassan, which made for a very personal and intimate experience. I was told that sometimes the tour group is small like ours was and sometimes there are more people. It all depends on how many persons book the tour on certain dates. After the first day Hassan was more like a friend on tour with us rather than just our driver. I actually still kept in touch with him after the tour ended. Hassan really went out of his way to cater to us and make our experience as memorable as possible. For example, after our tour ended we stayed in Marrakech for another day and had to arrange for a ride to the airport the next day. Surprisingly and thankfully Hassan just showed up at our riad and took us to the airport out of the goodness of his heart. He did not expect for us to pay him in any way, shape or form, however, we left him with a nice sized box of Medjool dates as a token of our appreciation. With regards to the tour, it was planned well and we visited a lot of places in the time we were there. There were some places like Casablanca where we only stayed a day, however, I liked being exposed to many different parts of the country. Not every place we visited was like this, however, as we were in Merzouga (the Sahara desert) for 3 days. A lot was crammed into the eight days we were there and that required A LOT of driving. I did not mind this as we got a taste of many parts of the country. I'm sure some people would like to spend more time in fewer places, so this is something for people to consider when booking this tour. Lastly, I'd like to acknowledge and thank Anouar, the tour operator. He was very attentive and responsive prior to our tour and during our tour. Anouar actually contacted the riad we were staying at on my birthday and had them present me with a delicious birthday cake and assorted pastries. I was very impressed and surprised by this and will be forever grateful. This actually made an already beautiful time even more memorable. Thanks, again, Anouar. In case I wasn't clear in my above review, I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it and this comes from someone that has been on many, many tours as I have ventured to over 30 countries.

  We had a fabulous time. The driver was really helpful and concerned about our safety. The site guides chosen for our stops were absolutely excellent, spoke good English and were really interesting to talk to about architecture, history, the landscape and the customs. The accommodation was five star everywhere and we went and were very comfortable. The owner of the business Amwar was a delightful man with deep understanding of Morocco and its people and shared his understanding with us. I can't recommend this tour more highly Cheers Neil

  This tour was amazing!!! The tour guide Idir took such good care of our private group of 5! Any time we had any requests he went out of his way to full fill them. He made some special stops for us for amazing views & cool markets. Also took us to some nice restaurants & fun cafes! We had a blast! Our accommodations we were very pleased with! I highly recommend the 8 day tour. You will see so much. Plus we always felt safe. Something we were concerned with, and very pleased it all went well. I would definitely do this trip again with more family! The desert trip was my favorite! Don’t miss it!! Thanks again Frank & Lydia- NYC!

  Don’t hesitate to book. For what you see and do it’s an amazing deal. We saw everything we wanted to see, never felt rushed and the accommodations were top notch the entire way. Idir was patient with our group of 5 between stopping for shopping and pictures and kept us on track without making us feel rushed. He always checked in even with my son to make sure we were enjoying our time and to make sure we were comfortable. We covered a lot of mileage but spent just enough time. We felt safe and comfortable even late at night on our own free time.

  We had one of the best trips in our life. The communication, organization our modified custom itinarrary exceeded all our expectations. Additional we would like to compliment our driver Chawqi.   Our Essential 8 day trip was a whirlwind adventure around one of the most hospitable countries in the world. The Moroccan people are very generous with food, teas and cakes. Our guide and driver Hssaine was fantastic. Full of knowledge about the current climate to the historical key points/dates from the country's past. Hssaine was mindful of our interests and we spent as little or as long in places as we needed. He was a very safe driver on the road. Always up for a giggle, but also knew when we were just about to doze off and left us to it. Our accommodation was extremely comfortable, our favourite being the desert camp or glamour camping "glamping". We would have loved an extra day at the camp instead of the nearby riad, however, the nearby riad has a pool, so when hot I could see this being a delight. It's called essential Morocco because you get to see all the highlights, but this does come with longer driving days and less time per stop. Our trip was cut short because of COVID-19. We packed two days into one to get back to Marrakech and Hssaine again was so accomodating with this request and still getting us to some of the sights along the way. Back home now and enjoying the memories and hope to get back one day and check out the southern coastal towns.

  This was the ultimate way to visit, explore and discover so many facets of Morocco. The use of the local agency, Marrakesh Tours, was a smart decision for this type of experience; from the transportation choice-a private car since they were only 2 of us, to the quaint accommodation choices, to the smart use of local guides along the multiple stops in the itinerary, and choice of restaurants along the way. Ishmael, our tour guide, quickly picked up on what was of greater interest to us throughout the trip and made efforts to incorporate it when introducing his magical land to us. At all times throughout our journey we really felt that we got exposed to the many sides Morocco has to offer including its quirks and secrets. Morocco is such a beautiful and diverse country, with people being so humble and attentive, that it would have been a shame if we would have attempted to do this on our own and miss out on so many subtleties that are not readily apparent to Westerners. The only caveat I would share is to not expect luxurious accommodation with this package, however having said that, every single stop were greeted with genuine hosts who truly were proud to share with us a piece of their Morocco.
