- ABAlison· July 15th, 2024Really interesting sights and diversity of experiences; the lemurs are gorgeous, the dugout canoe ride was unforgettable and very varied scenery in some places was magnificent, but be prepared for the worst roads you've ever seen. Our 3-week tour took us to many places, including some remote areas of southern Madagascar, where the 'prickly forests" of cactus and euphorbias were amazing, but the poverty in small villages was distressing, and our camping accommodation on two nights was basic, with no water for washing, etc. Our guide and driver were very good, but got us lost a couple of times! We recommend Green Island Discovery tours for a very authentic experience.Show more
