It was ok the transfers between places were only communicated when asked so never knew pick up times in advance and shared transfers were not great I had to sit without any room to put my feet down with my old achy knees at my chest … my hips and knees hurt for days after. Don Taco hotel was terrible so small and run down room but very nice people.

We had an outstanding guide for Tortuguera--knowledgable, patient, and fun. The drivers and boat captains were skilled and inspired confidence (except for the boat on the last leg of our journey, that boat dirver's management of the motor left much to be desired). Over all the adventure was fun and informative.

Tour guides were excellent. Tortuguero was a nice accommodation but another fan would have been helpful for sleep. Accommodation in Arenal was nice. Monteverde hotel Cispreses was disappointing. I wish more information given on national parks and things to see, so better decisions could have been made. A few communication problems but that was partially due to USA need for COVID tests to return - so not the fault of your company. I would still recommend but it would be nice if more overall information given ahead of time. Good for a budget trip.

Hotels were not as we expected, i.e. noisy, breakfast not good, however very clean. Timing of the program was not good, i.e. at Monteverde we did not got enough time to spent at the location. Transport between Toruguero and Arenal was not adequate enough: the bus was not spacy enough so we were with 10 people in one small bus. We will not advice others to choose for a tour like yours.

First off, had a great time in Costa Rica, lovely people and amazing landscapes. I was only contacted by Aborigen while booking, once in Costa Rica the company was Destino and I didn't hear much of them or who to contact in case of issues. This is not an escorted tour, and you don´t have a guide throughout. Transfers and drivers were spot on, always on time and very kind, they actually seem to care more about you than Aborigen/Destino. First part of this trip from airport transfer to arrival in Arenal worked as described, all good. In Arenal I stayed in Montaña de Fuego, nice hotel not so helpful receptionists. They only offerered one activity at USD100, and no wifi in your room, which is annoying considering you have to organize activities yourself. They also offered a tour at 6am, I was booked and noone showed up, no explanations given. Monteverde hotel (Claro de Luna) was more humble than Montaña de Fuego, but Ericha made a big difference helping with the different activities and bookings. I did the Canopy with Extremo adventure and it was a great experience. The tour says that on the second day in Monteverde (departure day), you will have time for an activity, but this is outdated because of Covid and I was advised to pay extra for a later transfer. I did pay for that transfer, though I believe that payment should have been made by Aborigen/Destino, who failed to inform properly about this change. All in all and considering my experience with other companies like Gadventures or Traveltalk, Aborigen/Destino need to improve their standards as they do not seem to care for your experience at all. I´d also say the tour is pricey for what you get, but Costa Rica is not a cheap country anyways.
