- CRCatherine· July 3rd, 2024Romania is now my favourite country. Spectacular. Bogdan was my guide for two days and then Marius took over. They were encyclopedias of knowledge. The places we stayed were lovely as were the hosts. Their food was great but sometimes the beds left something to be desired. Sometimes hard and lumpy. As I had had a knee operation, I found the walking up stairs difficult at times but I was helped with my luggage and stairs by the guide. If there was one disappointment it would be having to pay for entrance fees everywhere. I would have liked these included due to the price of the whole trip and as the places had already picked. I did not realise there would be so much walking. But, in saying that a private tour was the only way to go. I was it along with my guide/driver who was courteous, knowledgeable and always a gentleman. I wish the trip could have lasted longer.Show moreTrip date: June 2024
- PSPhilip· October 8th, 2023The Transylvania Discovery tour was well planned to cover a vast range of sights from castles; forests; monasteries and painted churches; along with ice caves; salt mines and mountainous roads. Lovely people and amazing meals at the guest houses in which we stayed - all overseen by our friendly, helpful, often funny and always very informative guide, Bogdan Ghenoiu. Bogdan safely drove us from place to place, explained histories and wove together stories in a way that kept us interested throughout the tour. Romania is a beautiful country and we enjoyed every minute of our time there.Show more

Michael· July 26th, 2023After traveling to 99 countries we have used the services of many guides. Bogdan is one of the best. He has great knowledge about Romania, really understands the needs of his clients, is punctual, has excellent English skills, and makes things fun with his sense of humor. The itinerary was a nice mix of regions, towns, countryside and the key attractions. Accommodations consisted mostly of small family run guesthouses. Breakfasts and dinners were often included and were of excellent quality and quantity. There is quite of a bit of driving with this itinerary so it was important that Bogdan uses a nice spacious new vehicle and is a good driver. If you want a comprehensive overview of Romania, I’d highly recommend his trip with Bogdan.Show moreTrip date: July 2023
