  The tour was excellent. The guide, John ( Ionut ) was awesome and took us to the most interesting places. He knew the business well and is a skilled driver. My only gripe is that the first two nights we stayed in a semi-decent hotel, apparently owned by Troll Expeditions. It was great that we had a bathroom in the room, but the rooms were small and poorly ventilated. Great location, though. All in all, I recommend this tour if you're an active person and able to hike a little bit. Make sure you take the extra activities package as they were extremely awesome!

  Good tour to get an overview of Iceland. Besides the sights, the standout activities were the glacier hike, Katla Ice Cave and whale watching. The appropriate attire and equipment were provided which made the activities safe and enjoyable.

  We had a busy but very enjoyable 8 day tour. We had David as our guide for the trip. He was great but sometimes his driving left us a little nervous, especially when overtaking! No, David!!! 😉 The tour itself took us to many lovely places. Fantastic scenery with waterfalls, lava fields, glaciers, ice cave, geysers, coastal scenery, a spa trip, whale watching etc. Plenty of comfort and food breaks each day too for the 12 on our tour. After a couple of days rain, we were blessed with warmth and sunshine which made the trip. We were disappointed with our first hotel for two nights as their kitchen was closed so we had to buy microwave meals for those nights. One hotel was also overbooked so we had a long drive one afternoon to get to the new one. I felt this made our day at the glacier lagoon shorter than scheduled. All in all we enjoyed our holiday. It was good that the others on the tour were very friendly and some similar in age to us silver surfers! Thank you.

  Great range of activities.Loved the horse riding day followed with the Vok spa. Fabulous Diamond Beach, glacier walk and ice cave, and copious waterfalls. Experienced and knowledgeable guides. Highly recommend this tour.

  Would recommend this as a great trip to explore Iceland. The country has to wide variety of scenery ranging from hot springs, lava caves, waterfalls to ice caves. We were lucky to have sunny weather all 8 days. Our tour guide Daviō was amazing, he was sharing interesting stories about various tourist spots we visited. Also, he was sharing great food recommendations

  Get tour! We stayed active and experienced the natural beauty of Iceland. The small group size allowed us to get to know each other well and not to spend time waiting for others. We skipped the touristy places. The ICE CAVE trip was the highlight for me.

  Wonderful trip with Johan our guide. The trip around the island was great, but I really enjoyed listening to Johan and him relating his stories of growing up in this isolated country. His family stories were what brought the tour to life. Our van was roomy and new giving everybody space to stretch out. I highly recommend this tour.

  We had a wonderful tour with our guide Gylfi. He was very knowlegable about the geography of all the areas we visited and the history of Iceland. The timing of each day flowed very well with plenty of time for exploration and photos of each stop. The minibus was very comfortable. Gylfi's driving was very smooth. we got to know all the other fellow tourists on the bus as well. I would highly recommend Troll Tours and especially our guide Gylfi.
