- Jan· September 13th, 2024where do i begin? the tours in Italy totally un organised, change to hotel in venice was a former brothel hot pink tiled bedroom. purple bathroom and every corner of the tiles with a light, you forgot to let us know about the bed tax &7.50 per night per person, all the tour guides worried about was how much we were going to pay, on amalie coast tour no guide, tour guides changing between different groups, leaving us at train , changing buses three time for one trip, find your own way back to hotels without instructions. had to be a mountain goat to climb some of the hills we were taken to, don't mind walking but up to 9 km one day totally exhausting.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- Debra· August 21st, 2024So many issues and confusion. 1st, we were not on a Click Tour, nor a Tourradar tour. We were farmed out to Fantasia/Caranni tours. We had no idea until we landed in Rome and my name was on a paper attached to a what one would call a fence at baggage claim. We had no idea who these people were and why they had our names. We proceeded to the hotel. Tourradar charged us 3 times what a taxi would have cost us to our hotel. Don't book transfers with them, if you book at all. The hotels were not terrible, not great. Very low on amenities and most were far from city center costing lots of taxi rides if you wanted to go into town in any city on the tour. The Hotel St Martin in Rome, where we stayed 3 times in 10 days was right in the middle of a huge Muslim community. Not a racist statement, hear me out. There was little Italian food available without a long walk or a cab ride. But if you're into Halal middle eastern food, you'll love it. I didn't go to Italy too eat anything but italian. The tours were grueling and hot. It was August. So much walking and uphill much of the time. The busses were ok. Air conditioning is not a priority in Italy so it's never cold enough for any American. The schedules were given either the night before or the morning of. Very frustrating. No matter how many times we asked, we were met with, I'll get it to you when you need it. Really? The tours for not follow the exact Itinerary we booked, Grand Journey of Italy. We spent exactly 15 minutes in Naples. That was very disappointing. Some of the trip was amazing. Some of it terrible. The Vatican tour should come with a warning in Summer. 2 of our group passed out and were taken to the hospital. Out Vatican guide was horrible. She said, I'm not waiting for anyone so if you lag behind, I'm leaving you. She did and that's how our 2 members were left. We refused to go on until medical attention arrived. Mona was get name and she should not working there. She's a tyrant and nasty. I had to go to the bathroom and she told me I was hurting her schedule and to hurry up. I'm an adult, I'm not listening to such nonsense. The group was so mad at her for so many reasons. If you go on thr Vatican tour, take lots of water and a fan. It's so hot inside you can breathe. It ruined the tour for us. The best part of the trip was finishing in Sorrento. Views of Mount Vesuvius and a lovely hotel, the Grande Vesuvio. Just beware that there is no where to buy water or sundries without a 15 shuttle ride. Water bottle at the hotel were $8 each. Don't expect Romans to be nice to tourist unless they profit from it. Romans are very rude. The further south you go, the nicer the people get. But honestly, if you think you're going to have a single guide on this tour, You won't. You'll be passed from guide to different tour company many times. I do not recommend either Tourradar nor Click Tours. Find a better company. Oh and the free meals included are sub-par by anyone's standards. And FYI, you do not need any formal wear no matter what the itinerary tells you. We brought dressy clothes and never had occasion if wear them, sadly.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- GDGary· July 8th, 2024The tour was great and the tour guides were very knowledgeable. The first six days were great with the tour director Stefano and driver Luigi. The last four days were a little more choppy with different guides and drivers. We saw so much which we were grateful for but the pace of traveling the country from North to South was tiresome after about a week. Having said that I would do it all again.Show moreTrip date: May 2024
- Adam· February 1st, 2024What an amazing experience. My first time in Italy and I can say my tour guide Clara was the best. Very informative and organized and made our trip very smooth. Definitely recommend going and seeing the beautiful sights of Italy!Trip date: January 2024
- VVictoria· June 8th, 2023Locations are wonderful. Note that the tour group assigned was not the one with whom we were placed. Click tours and several others pushed everything into Carrani tours. Hotels are mid rate. Food offered on tour is good most of the time. Lots of things are not included in the cost of this tour. For instance, you may have transportation to a location and then have to figure your own way back to the hotels or tours. The north tour was fully guided. The south tour was extremely hectic with transportation. Tour in the south was not guided and the group size went from 54 people to twice as large. Compared to other tour trips this was not well organized or professional. Throughout the tour, “guides” for travel were often snippy and appeared to be overwhelmed with the group size. Didn’t get the impression that we were customers to be attended to but rather another number to shuffle around. Overall, the locations and sights that are packed in are great just overall not the right service for the price.Show moreTrip date: April 2023
- AMAnthony· March 17th, 2023The tour was well organized. The transfers, hotel arrangements, everything was seamless. The tour delivered on every promise and the information given befor the tour matched the experience. It hit all of the highlights. All of the local guides were very knowledable. We are very satisfied with the value and the vacation was everything we wanted.Show moreTrip date: February 2023
- KMKerry· November 1st, 2022The value in doing the tour is, you get a sample of a lot of different sites and cities that can help you decide at a later date where you might want to spend more, or less time.Trip date: October 2022
- Alyson· September 23rd, 2022I enjoyed getting to see as many places as possible in 10 days and having someone else organize everything. I wasn’t sure if many people would speak English in Italy, so I felt safe going with a tour, but it turns out everyone speaks English pretty much. Included breakfasts did not open until 7 AM- some mornings we left before 7 AM so we were not able to enjoy breakfast or coffee. Breakfasts were basic continental-style. We were not allowed to eat or drink on the bus. More bathroom breaks needed. Hotels were what we consider 2-star in the states and the locations were in shady areas or far from downtown/metro areas. Included meals at hotels were disappointing. There are many additional options not included and many meals are not included, which turned out to be a blessing, because that was the only time I could have authentic Italian food. The last part of the tour from Sorrento to Amalfi was poorly organized. The tour guides for the second half of our trip had poor communication skills and we were literally abandoned a few times and had to find our own way back. Most people on this tour were couples in their 50s and 60s. I would not do this tour again.Show moreTrip date: August 2022
