- MMMatt· March 22nd, 2025We had a great time. The tour guide was amazing. She explained everything in detail. We had a huge coach bus. The coach was very comfortable with 16 passengers so we could pick any seat we wanted. All the hotels were modern with clean room and great breakfast. Will definitely book tours again with this company.Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- LTLinda· March 18th, 2025This was the best guided tour I've experienced in years! Japan is an incredibly beautiful country, and I'm so glad we chose Stunning Tours as our operator. Our tour guide, Trend, was not only funny but also attentive and highly professional. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, allowing us to visit numerous iconic attractions across Japan. All the hotels on the tour were highly rated 3-star accommodations. I highly recommend this tour!Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- DDavid· March 15th, 2025My parents and I had a fun time exploring Japan on this tour! We went in early December 2024. Our tour guide, Ben, was very nice, engaging, helpful, and very knowledgable of our destinations. Despite the drives being long, the coach rides were comfortable and scenic that I never got bored. I think every tour and stop we made was interesting and fun. For critiques, I feel that most of the hotels felt safe, clean, and had good quality. However, the Tokyo one was too far from the city center. For the Tokyo stop, the accommodations were in Koto City which was at least 45 min - 1hr away from the main tourist sites (Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc.). This was inconvenient if we had to stop back at the hotel to drop stuff off and since the trains stop around midnight, we had a time limit to get back or else we'd have to pay for expensive taxi's/ubers. For the tour company, please choose a hotel that is closer to the city center in Tokyo since it is a 2 hour round trip for those on tour which cuts off a lot of time during the limited time we have here. We knew coming in there would be limited time in each stop, so if you have time, I recommend getting here a day or 2 early before the tour starts in Osaka and staying a few days after the tour ends in Tokyo. Overall, I recommend this tour if you're a first time visitor since they give you great insights into each city and the tour guide is attentive with you throughout the tour. I just recommend the hotel in Tokyo needs to be changed to something closer to the city center.Show moreStunning Tours commented on this reviewDear David, Thanks for leaving a review and sharing your experience with us! We are glad that you enjoyed the Japan tour and especially the tour guide Ben;) It appears that the hotel we used for this tour is around 3.5 miles away from the Imperial... - Anne· March 9th, 2025This was a whirlwind of a tour, but Grace and Yoshato-san (sorry if I'm butchering his name. He was a terrific driver) did an excellent job. We started in Osaka, and hit the ground running, with a first day that included Nara, Osaka castle, and the Dotombori canal district. From the get-go, Grace had to herd more than 20 tourists through crowds. She didn't lose anybody throughout the 7 days--well, except my husband for about half an hour, as he had wandered past the meetup spot. No need to run through everywhere we went, you can read the description, but it was a very well curated exposure to Japan, and we managed to see more than I expected or hoped. We were blessed by the weather, which while not under Stunning Tours control, they made the most of. We found the Peace Memorial and museum in Hisroshima especially moving, and as Americans, especially as Americans in early 2025, sobering. My husband loved the Toyota museum, and we both were charmed by the two Samurai villages we visited. Kyoto was a bit disappointing, but mostly because there were so many tourists (and this was in February) that it was hard to get a feel for the beautiful old city. We also had a perfect day for Mount Fuji. The hotels were all fine and varied. They weren't five star, but they never claimed to be. They were clean, comfortable, and for the most part, very well situated. The only one that I would have preferred a different location for was the last, the Tokyo stay. And that was a perfectly good hotel a close walk to a train station and by a neat museum (It's a Small World); it just wasn't in as interesting a spot as most of the others. It did, however, allow us to if not master, at least use the amazing mass transportation system in Tokyo. We lucked into a good group, good weather, and an excellent guide and driver team. Some of that was luck, but much of it was good planning from the Stunning Tours team. Many thanks! And sorry we held up the group in Kyoto.Show moreTrip date: February 2025
- NWNicole· February 24th, 2025This is a great tour for anyone visiting Japan for the first time and wants to see a bit of all of the major cities and attractions. It packs a lot into a short time, but having our own private bus with plenty of space so that I never had to worry about transportation was a huge help and relief. Our tour guide, Grace, has such a lovely energy and kept things positive and exciting. She also made sure we stayed on time as much as possible so that we didn't miss out on any of the experiences for the day. Our driver was also very skilled, I never felt unsafe or worried about our drives (even in the snow for long stretches!). They always made sure we had bathroom breaks and opportunities to buy snacks when we were on the road for longer times. I particularly enjoyed the Hiroshima add-on tour, as well as our time in Kyoto. I think my only wish is that we had more time in Kyoto and stayed overnight there, as opposed to overnight nearby then transit through it to our next stop. But the biggest highlight was getting to see and visit Mt. Fuji. The boat ride on the lake allowed everyone to get a good angle of sight of the mountain (it does a loop so you'll get to see it no matter what side of the boat you're on), and then driving UP the mountain to one of the stations to see out below was wonderful as well. All of the rooms were comfortable and clean. Some may feel a bit tight, but considering you're only there for one night, I didn't mind. It made a ton of sense in terms of keeping the price of the overall package affordable. The hotel in Tokyo was a bit further out from the city center, but there were many transport options that it didn't matter much (and it was kind of a relief to have more quiet where we stayed). Overall, I think this is a great experience for anyone who likes group touring style and understands this is a way to "sample" a country's biggest attractions and not a deep dive / slow exploration. The tour operator was clearly very thoughtful on the flow of sightseeing, transit times, and accommodations. They were also very communicative, answered my questions quickly and clearly, and had detailed documents in the month leading up to the trip ready for us. I'm so grateful I could finally visit Japan and do it with Stunning Tours!Show moreTrip date: January 2025
- NGNina· December 17th, 2024I went on this tour as a solo traveler and thoroughly enjoyed it. - NWNancy· December 10th, 2024I truly enjoyed this 9-day, 7-night tour in Japan. The tour guide provided excellent service, and the bus driver ensured a smooth and comfortable ride. All the hotels were clean and well-maintained. We were fortunate to witness the beautiful autumn foliage in the Mount Fuji area. What a lovely country!Show moreTrip date: November 2024

- Andy· December 2nd, 2024Excellent tour - fast paced. I have read a lot about hotel room sizes, but as a singe traveler, the rooms were great. Probably could have spent more time in Hiroshima as that was a little rush, but otherwise excellentTrip date: November 2024
