- JHJill· October 27th, 2024I Will not use Wingbuddy again. This was a poorly organized trip and reflects badly on the company's overall ability to function during less than ideal situations. I had difficulty setting up the actual tour. I was not given any specifics until 3 days after payment was made on first contact. There were hidden airline costs that arose once I had booked. The Whale Watching tour was cancelled because of weather conditions and safety concerns. However, Wingbuddy did not have a plan 'B' in place to cover the vacant time. Instead, it was given as a free day without any thought to compensation. As well, the thermal baths in Furnas were closed because of the end-of-season maintenance. This is a yearly scheduled occurrence that Wingbuddy should have been on top of and offered a solution: another thermal bath location. When asked about compensation for the two cancellations, the run-around happened: call the Whale watching company, etc., etc. Also, there was no one answering the emergency line. The Hotel was great. The guide for the 2 1/2 day tours and 1 full day tour was very nice, so was the van driver.Show moreTrip date: October 2024

Actually one place was one of the best places seeing, comparing volcanic area. The Picos. Excellent. He adjusted the order and so happy he did. I had thought we might hear from him/her at some point to make sure everything was going ok, but we didn't, and everything did go ok, so it wasn't a problem. Our whale watching tour was rescheduled due to weather and there was a letter left for us at the front desk. There was not a time when we were unsure as to what was happening. Our tour guide was amazing and despite the weather did his absolute best to make sure we saw all of the sights. Even finding time to revisit certain spots on another day when the weather was good. Our accommodations were a fantastic and provided breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city. We walked everywhere! We definitely will book again with Wingbuddy. Flights and transportation were all on time, we loved the hotel, and the tours were great.
