- SSSteven· November 18th, 2024The tour was mostly good. We saw a lot of Japan and covered a lot the country. For me though, and for many others, there were optional tours on our free day that were unavailable upon arrival and were too expensive even if they would had been offered. Very disappointing. Also what was to be a the 3- 4 hour trip to Hiroshima from Okayama wound up being 7 hours (due to it being on a Japanese 3 day holiday), therefore making our visit the Torii gate and the museum very very short. Very disappointing. Lastly, for us that have never navigate bus and train rides, it was very stressful and had it not been for others on the tour, we would have been lost. Our travel guide left 2 days early which was stressful as well. We paid for 14 days and literally got 12. Transportation from the Osaka hotel on our last day was very poorly planned as I feel the tour should have provided and organized some way for us to get to the train station or airports…most people stressed about this as well which took away from our fun vacation. I probably would not recommend this company to others visiting Japan!Show more

- EKElizabeth Anne· November 17th, 2024We joined the tour on their day two as we were already in Tokyo and not prepared to go to Narita airport to join on their first night. None of the options went which was annoying as we really wanted the maiko dinner. If we knew ahead of time we could have made prior arrangements like we did for Nikko as a review indicated that tour didn’t get offered so we went ahead with our own arrangements there. We found it frustrating that the tour hotels were only released 2 weeks before departure. This makes planning pre tour activities more challenging. The tour itself is a good tour in that it covers a good portion of Japan and a variety of sites. Our guide admitted her English wasn’t the best and at times it was difficult to get her to understand the questions we had. She did try to help with meal suggestions and activities for the free days. The tour was good mix of was planned activities and free time. It would be nice if the trip to Hiroshima was on the fast train as this was a very long day. The guide tried to get us tickets to a geisha or maiko show dinner but nothing was available on the day. Accommodation on our tour had good locations even if rooms for most part were small. Diane· November 8th, 2024The English speaking guide we were to expect had difficulty with English leaving us frequently confused . One of our accomodation was bare a 2 star and very smelly . Guide assistance on the last days was not available as she had to fly back to Tokyo for another tour . Lovely group on tour we saw some lovely places . Extremely long trip to Hiroshima which should have Ben cancelled as we arrived just before closing time after being in bus for many hours.
