- jaime· April 21st, 2025A great plan Excellent on-site guidance phoebe did an excellent job in arranging the itinerary for our first trip to Japan. We have a long list of specific locations we hope to see, and phoebe also helped us offer suggestions for other attractions and experiences. We are not travelers on a "regular itinerary" (the way others do it). Jeremy is our ground coordinator in Japan this time. He is young, energetic and knowledgeable. Our 18-year-old son likes communicating with him and visiting the scenic spots that young people like. If you plan to travel to Japan, I will definitely recommend phoebe and Jeremy. The only thing that confuses us is about the experience of staying in a Japanese Ryokan. We originally thought it would be like what we saw in the movie - a small single-story hut with paper walls and bamboo floors, surrounded by a beautiful garden. But in the end, we stayed in a multi-storey high-rise building with traditional hardwood doors. Coming out of the corridor was like staying in a Western-style hotel. Once inside, there were some sliding doors and we slept on the floor. Apart from that misunderstanding, we had a wonderful two weeks and we will use UME Travel again without hesitation.Show more
