- MPMelissa· January 5th, 2019Transportation was perfect - on time, etc. Park Inn in San Jose was great. Tortuguero guide Alex was amazing; Entire Tortuguero experience was perfect. Arenal was disappointing. With less than 24 hours there, no excursions were reserved so we immediately tried to do so (Arenal hike, hot springs, etc.). All were closed out; so we had to fight for rescheduling and taking taxis on our own. Thankfully we fit it all in. Hotel (Magic Mountain) was disappointing - it wasn't finished yet. No elevators, missing appliances/furniture, overwhelmed staff. Monteverde was great!
