No vaccinations are compulsory fro travelling in Bhutan, but we do recommend you are covered for diphtheria TB, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, *malaria, typhoid, polio and tetanus. We also recommend: · A dental check-up prior to travelling. · That you know your blood group in case of emergency. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions which might affect you on tour, you make these known to your tour leader and Ace the Himalaya at the time of your booking.

Can I add extra days to my trip?

A holiday should never be about making it to the final point quickly. Along your trek, we can add days at your request with additional costs to cover guides, porters, accommodation and food.

Is the water fine to drink? Do I need to bring purifying tablets/filter?

Bottled water is available in all places. If you wish to drink normal water, you are suggested to use purifying aid, which you need to bring with you.

Do I need to tip my guide and driver? How much would that be?

Tips are always expected. It is a small gesture of thanks to the field staff towards the end of the tour USD 20 per guide and USD 10 per driver per day is recommended per group, but it is entirely up to your wishes.

How much additional money do I need per day?

It depends on your spending habits. We estimate USD 20 to 30 a day will be enough to buy lunch, dinner, chocolates and a few drinks.

Can I use credit cards in the places I visit?

ATMs are available in Kathmandu. Major credit cards are accepted in all places but you need to pay 4% extra as bank levy, which might make cash more preferable. During your trek, you need to use cash for all the transactions.

Is there any communication while we are on trekking?

There are telephones and Internet facilities available so you can always stay in contact with your family.

Can I charge my digital camera or other equipments on my trip?

These facilities are available in all the places in your hotel. Remember to bring your adapters!

Introduction

Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345 meters).
Day 2 Pre-trip meeting and guided sightseeing in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and drive to Nagarkot on a private Tourist Vehicle.
Day 3 Nagarkot – Chitwan Drive on a private tourist vehicle.
Day 4 Full day Jungle Activities
Day 5 Chitwan – Lumbini Drive on a private tourist vehicle- 5 hrs Drive.
Day 6 Sightseeing in Lumbini and same day drive to Palpa on a private tourist vehicle.
Day 7 Palpa – Pokhara Drive on a private tourist vehicle.
Day 8 Sightseeing in Pokhara.

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before March 4th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 4th, 2025, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with Ace the Himalaya. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Ace the Himalaya will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Ace the Himalaya" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
