Everything went exceptionally well! No issues whatsoever. The tour operator was fantastic!
- by Paul HillThe tour was efficiently organized and we have received all the support we needed from Destination Services. The hotels and arranged transportation were excelent, as well as all the guides and staff in general. The fact that it was a partially self-guided tour allowed us to travel at our own rhythm with more peace of mind. We certainly recommend this tour!

The trip is really good, we have a small group of 4 ladies. Our tour leader Gracias Amigos who was knowledgeable and took good care of us. In Antigua, he hosted us lunch at his house. The most incredible thing was visiting the ATM cave in Guatemala, an optional activity which cost USD125.00/pp, but it was worthy.Besides, We have Jack Sparrow, who was an assistant guide of this tour, he was an nice guy as well. But I had to say, in San Ignacio, our hotel was too noisy, it was in construction and one day the wifi wasn't available.
- by Liqing LuanA rather quick journey through these 5 countries to get a glimpse of central American life. Somehow it didn’t feel rushed as there are 2 nights in all the places visited ( except start and finish ) . Lots of optional activities for those who want it. Nice hotels, great food and comfortable transport. Even the numerous border crossings went smoothly.

This trip in Costa Rica was honestly such an amazing trip!! There was such a variety of activities and things you normally wouldn't get to experience (like the homestay with a local family). We got to experience all different environments from jungles to hot springs and ending in a beach paradise! Luis was THE best guide with amazing vibes and every food item he recommended was delicious and very south American/Costa Rican cuisine
- by JillianThis tour had the best of everything - stunning landscapes and wildlife, local community impact, adrenaline fuelled adventures and beautiful beaches and snorkelling. Our tour guide Luis did an incredible job of always bringing positive energy, making the group feel like a family and always having excellent food and drink recommendations and sorting restaurant and bar bookings for us. I honestly had the best trip and would recommend to anyone!!

My girlfriend and I were talking about how well everything was organized the entire trip. There wasn’t one moment I would change. From the thoughtful initial destination and activities through the last one, everything was absolutely perfect. The lodging selections. The specific activities with the right adventure company partners to the overall logistics. You made it effortless and gave us memories that we will cherish for our lifetime.
- by Soteris KarolyI cannot recommend this agency, nor this "tour." It was NOT a "5 Day Tour"! I unfortunately saw another customer's review much too late, but it was very accurate: it said basically "this was not a tour, it was 3 taxi rides and a couple of hotel reservations that I could have done for half the price myself." I agree! Communication with the agency was frustratingly poor, and at one point I literally wrote this exact line, after several frustratingly stupid messages from them: "I give up on explaining why it doesn’t make sense to be asked to approve changes when I literally see no changes." Numerous requests for information were ignored. If you choose to book this tour, and you do not book any other activities, please be aware that you will spend about 80% of your time sitting on your ass with nothing to do. They claim that they do this so that you can have a "flexible, relaxed" itinerary, and that you can book other activities, but they literally did not offer ANY activity options until I complained to them that the itinerary was basically empty. Filling up our schedule with things to do added several hundred dollars to the cost. You will never meet anybody who actually works for this company, as they outsource literally everything. In my opinion, this is NOT a tour agency, and this is not a tour!

- by JoAnneThis trip was a dream! Costa Rica is a nature lover's paradise, the group was small and very friendly, our teenagers got along fabulously and Allan, the tour guide, did a great job of organizing everything and had an extensive knowledge of Costa Rica's wildlife and culture. Every day was a highlight and the abundance of scenery and animal sightings was hard to beat: wild tapirs, toucans, pumas, crocodiles, an abundance of exotic birds, monkeys, whales, dolphins. It is not for nothing that Costa Rica accounts for 5% of the world's biodiversity. The hotels were also fabulously selected and the transportation by minibus was comfortable and ideal. Costa Rica attaches great importance to environmental protection and sustainability and you can feel it. A fabulous trip through a great country full of natural beauty and friendly people!!!

The tour it's self was good, and my tour guide for the Atitlan Lake part was exceptional. His name was Luis Diego. But the company I booked with, Aborigen tried to change the tour. They planned to remove the two day trip to Atitlan saying there was an operational issue. I tried calling and texting to say doing a different half day was unexceptional as I had paid a large sum for the tour. Communication was poor with this company. In the end after I threatened to report them they came through with the tour that I booked. The half day portion in Antigua was poorly run. We visited the Jade museum and shop and ended up spending an extra hour there waiting for two people in our group to have jewelry made. Instead of telling these people to return on their own time the entire group sat around wasting time. The trip out to the lake with Diego was the highlight of the tour and highly recommend doing it.
- by Jonea MounseyMy main point of contact was Raul. He and the team did a spectacular job. Lots of memories and unforgettable moments. The tour was packed with activities that didn’t involve being in transport for long, yet had free days to either relax and explore on my own. I couldn’t imagine a better group of guides along with perfect schedule.

We loved the travels! It was a good mixture between highlights and 'traveling'. It is an organized tour, meaning if people booked it on the same dates, it can be that you are traveling together. Some of the traveling days are long, be aware of that together with the temperatures in these regions. The contact with the organization went good! When something is unclear or you have questions someone is available at all times.

Eduardo our guide and Victor our driver were both wonderful, looking after us every step of the way, and always attentive to our requests and enjoyment of the holiday
- by Caroline DanceThis was a fantastic holiday but marred by one serious incident occuring on the snorkelling activity at Caye Caulker. The Anwar operators were negligent and while adjusting my snorkel I was left behind to fend for myself with my group nowhere in sight. No buddy system was put in place and there were at least another six groups in the area making identification of my group problematic. I had no other choice but to swim against the swell to the boat some distance away. It look me at least 30 minutes to reach the boat, totally exhausted and I am a good swimmer. Other members who stayed on the boat noticed a lone swimmer but none of the crew! On reaching the boat the Anwar skipper was angry with me and said it was my fault which greatly upset me. I stayed silent as I was upset by his outburst but after lunch the whole crew gave me 'special attention' on the next two snorkelling sessions, implying they realised that my complaints were justified. However this is not about me but I fear that a future participant who is a poor swimmer could be in real danger. Further evidence of them not monitoring me was that out of all the photos taken of the Exodus snorkellers I was not in any! However the rest of the trip was great - our tour guide Jorge was informative, helpful and went the extra mile. The tour was well organised with good transport, accommodation and food. Reef experience - see previous comments. The reef/coral was not in good health and the only colours were the purple fan corals. The fish such as the rays & sharks were attracted by the operators feeding them. Climate change and acidification of the oceans has impacted reefs all over the world so perhaps they are best left alone without the impact of hundreds of snorkellers in a typical day?

The trip was okay - guides very helpful I think you should be clearer on what is needed and what is provided. For example, water is handed out, but headlamps are not (and cannot be rented either) Overall a good experience

Thank you for the most enjoyable trip.. the guide was excellent. Answering any question . We learned so much about the animals and flora and fauna of the area we visited. This trip exceeded any expectations I had. And renewed my interst in photography. This is my 4 th trip with you and it seems it getting better. Thank you to all the staff who put together great packages.
- by KAREN HUZELCosta Rica was beautiful and the people were fantastic. There were some issues caused by poor organization/communication on the part of the travel planner. First, the Buena Vista del Rancon leg of the trip was very unexpected. The accommodations were spartan to say the least. it was like a rustic cabin with the following issues; no AC despite very hot and humid weather; No TV or phone with absolutely nothing to do at night; No hot water the bathroom in sink; tractor noise was ever present; there were bugs covering the sink in the morning; there were no chairs in the room except for one dressing table chair. We are campers so we are familiar with this scenario but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. There was poor communications regarding the itinerary also.. We were given 2 itineraries that were inconsistent. These were then undone by the desk clerk who said we needed individual reservations for the activities on the itinerary and that we were not part of a group. She seemed impatient with us trying to get it straight.. Then the next day the same clerk asked why we did not show up for the group tour that was part of the itinerary that she said the previous day did not exist. This is a Rainforest adventure oriented place with a lot of uphill walking and few restaurant choices which is inappropriate for seniors. The place was beautiful, everyone but the clerk was fantastic and the activities were fun and interesting. There rain and mud every day so watch out for the rainy season, we thought we had just missed it but we did not. The second leg at the Wyndham in Tamarindo was very nice. The beach was beautiful and the hotel was nice. Be prepared for there being no AC in public areas(including the restaurant) however and again it was very hot and humid. We had to wait 3 hours for our airport transport in a sweltering lobby since checkout was 11 and the transport pick up was 2pm. The hotel in on a steep hill overlooking the city providing a great view but not walkable to the city or beach. The shuttle ran only once per hour so if you did not time your visit perfectly (hard to do with restaurant service etc.), you had to wait an hour on the curb. The airport Hampton was as expected for an airport hotel. New hotel with excellent service and a frequent "on time" shuttle to the airport.

We had the BEST time on our tour in Guatemala with Culture Trip! Aura was the perfect guide for our group; she was knowledgeable, personable, and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Culture Trip took all the stress out of travel for us. They thought of every possible detail, not to mention the adorable welcome gifts on arrival! The trip is jam packed with activities and doesn't leave much down time; make sure to bring hiking boots for the volcano and good walking shoes for everything else. The ziplining is optional, but everyone in our group agreed that it was way worth it. The only thing we regret is not booking an extra day after our tour to explore on our own!
- by -The best money you’ll ever spend! We had the absolute most amazing time on our ‘gorgeous Guatemala’ trip in March, honestly everything was just amazing. Our guide Aura was absolutely fantastic, so sweet and friendly and she knew absolutely everything!!! So informative and knowledgeable, we were in the absolute safest hands. We didn’t really know what to expect but we were absolutely blown away, if you’re thinking about booking this then DO IT, you will not be disappointed, this is the best holiday we have ever been on. So much was packed in that we felt like we’d done a 3 week trip not 5 days. We can’t even pick a favourite part as it was all incredible. The hotels we stayed at were sublime, both with absolutely stunning views and settings. The activities were so fun, this is such a great itinerary. Never went up a volcano and had pizza cooked inside by the heat of lava?! Well now you can. The kayaking at Lake Atitlan makes Lake Como look like Skegness, I have never seen such a beautiful setting. Absolutely recommend doing the zip lining as an additional activity, the views are absolutely un real. There is just so much to see and do, and Aura and the Culture Trip planners made this trip straight from dreams. Everything was taken care of, you can totally switch off and relax and have the best trip ever. 1000% recommend, this was amazing.

- by Judith AngstwurmTo start I did enjoy all parts involved in this trip, It was an amazing adventure. I do understand there are some issues that arise while traveling to other countries that could throw some curve balls but some of these could have been avoided with just communication. To start we were never told who our tour guide was until he showed up at the hotel but were never given an actual time to meet him. Luckily we had the same tour guide for only a few days that was able to confirm times with us before we ended the day. When we were changing tour guides if we didn't bring it up we never would have known what time in the am the new guide was meeting us or who it was. It would have been nice once the tour company confirmed our hotel stays if they informed us where we were staying in order to pre-plan for some nighttime activities. The tour guides were informative that we did have and very personable. A lot of the activities were quick and hurry to the destination with no stopping on the walking parts of the tours. Always have cash on hand for things that you may want or need along your travels due to credit cards not being accepted or lack of internet to charge the cards. On this tour, I hope you have a strong bladder that will wait 5+ hours between a restroom while staying hydrated, and have snacks for the long drives. Times were not communicated with how long we were going to be at a location or have to venture and the activities that were included were not fully spelled out or communicated to have the appropriate footwear and clothing or bathing suits. With this trip, if you have any questions prior to going, ask them so you are fully informed otherwise it is not communicated and you may miss out on some cool things or be ill-prepared. All and all the trip was definitely a wonderful experience as a whole, for someone who is all about pre-planning I felt very ill-informed which gets stressful when not prepared due to lack of communication. All the issues with the trip were mainly caused by a lack of communication.
