Our 14 day tour was jam packed and we saw so much. We had excellent guides wherever we went. Edison was our most frequent guide and he was top notch. Joslyn from the Tour Company was in regular contact and made us feel most comfortable.
- by Lorna Shaw-LennoxThe instructions were not clear where and what time to meet our ride. Many times the guide or the driver did not speak English and if there was no cell phone service due to location, it was impossible to understand each other or ask a question. The two places we stayed were HOSTELS not HOTELs ) in the itenenary

Elmer was such a great guide and a really lovely person. His clear investment in our group and his care for his country and wanting to show us the best of it was such a gift. Thank you!
- by Elizabeth MountVictor was really lovely as a guide. I so appreciated his level of knowledge and care, his warmth with the group, and his ability to make every part of the trip fun and relaxing.

Great tour. We saw everything from waterfalls to the Amazon basin to the highest point on earth. The tour is flexible with some free time so you can do class 4 white water rafting or a day at the spa. Everything was very well organized and went very smoothly thanks to our excellent tour guide, Raphael Arevalo. He was extremely knowledgeable about history, nature and culture. He answered all questions some before you knew to ask. The hotel accommodations were almost all higher class. The Hacienda Anadalusia was one stand out. It was the nicest room I have ever had. The property is beautiful with gardens, llamas and rabbits you can feed. I highly recomend this trip.

A fantastic tour put together by Mathias! Every detail was thought out carefully and planned for our group of 4 adults and 5 children aged between 4-9. All we did was show up and the airport, and everything else was handled for the rest of the trip until we got back to the airport. Mathias was very responsive through the planning phase and always answered my multiple questions with consideration of my family and the needs of the kids and what we would all enjoy. All allergies and dietary restrictions were conveyed to everyone involved and all restaurants we ate at, so we never had to worry. When anything unexpected came up, our guide Mishell was quick to make changes on the fly and make sure everything was handled. She would always help watch out for our family and kids and watched their reactions at certain points ... She would then make suggestions on making any changes to future plans based on what she thought they would like. We had a great time in Quito and Otavalo seeing all the sights, the old town, the market, crater lake, the teleferiqo cable car, and so much more. Our time in the rainforest at was very different than other trips we have taken, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time visiting the Amazon and learning about the culture and people that call it home, including a boat ride down the river looking out for animals, and hiking through the forest. To end it all, we stopped (as planned by Mathias) for a few hours at the Papallacta hot springs to recover and relax after all the days of activities and excursions. Overall, the planning and execution by Mathias and the Authentic Ecuador team, as well as constant communication thought the trip between Mathias and Mishell, and with us... Was unmatched and unbeatable. Would highly recommend to anyone considering this tour or this company! Ask for Mathias, and you will not regret it and will have the time of your life in beautiful Ecuador! We are already thinking about a return trip in a couple years to the Galapagos!
- by Nihar ShahThe best travel experience in Ecuador! Every detail was impeccably arranged, from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly and on time, with excellent communication throughout with Authentic Ecuador. We explored the breathtaking highlands and ventured into the lush Amazon rainforest—truly an unforgettable journey. I highly recommend them for anyone planning a trip to Ecuador.

Great insight. Alejandro, our guide, was brilliant and took us on a comprehensive 8 days tour. We packed a lot in: traveling by his private car, too. We highly recommend the tour and learnt a huge amount about Ecuador history. First rate!

I absolutely lived Quito and everything about this package! The drivers were friendly and helped me practice my Spanish. The hotel room was comfortable, the hotel staff was nice, and the included breakfast was pretty good. My favorite part of the package was the city tour. Vicki was such an amazing guide! She taught me so much about the history of the city and the country. I cannot believe the quality I got for the price I paid; the package has a great value, and I highly recommend it!

One of the most interesting places I have been to. Our guide and driver were excellent. We learned so much about the area history and environment from our guide, Andres. He provided many good recommendations on which museums, restaurants, and other places to visit as options on the tour. We were very pleased with his recommendations and help. If I did the tour again, I might splurge on the pricier hotel room package. The basic package was a really good hotel though, very clean and good breakfast but directly across from hostels and lacking amenities like a full restaurant, lounge, etc. However, there is a chinese restaurant across the street that was delicious.

Book the Trip! 10 out of 10 experience from booking until the trip back home. I could write so much about our amazing time and the wonderful accommodations but to some it all up, it's legit, book it. I plan to continue travel with Culture Trips and I highly recommend it. Ecuador was amazing and our travel expert (Henry) was THE BEST
- by -I wasn't sure what to expect as there was only one other traveller on this trip, but I've had a fantastic time. Most of the accommodations were stunning and far surpassed my expectations. The activities were all well-organised and very interesting and/or fun. Our Local Insider Antonio was a fantastic guide and a very sociable man, which was crucial to our trip as we were with such a small group.

Each day was a great adventure that brought us to beautiful staging areas. Our guides provided lots of information and encouragement. We stayed in a variety of lodges that each had its own character and warmth. Definitely recommend if you like the great outdoors!!
- by Julie StineThis was the most amazing experience. It was about appreciating the people, the culture, the environment. Each leg of the joyurney was something different, exposing you to a new challenge or new way of thinking. Highly recommend

Could have spent an extra day in Inislivi and removed Chugchilan. Another night in La Esperanza would be nice. Surprisingly the people in Guamote seemed cold - nice hostel but not too exciting since nothing going on that day. Loved the trip. Our own extra days at the start in Quito and at the end in Guayaquil were valuable.

Really nice activities and very professional people. They take everything to the last details on transfers, meals etc. I highly recommend them.
- by AndresAlmeidaI am an avid mountain fan and was until now only in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on the road. Since we liked the charm of Ecuador very much and there is a huge selection of mountains for semi-experienced climbers we have decided for this tour. The 10 days of the tour will be fully utilized and the difficulty of the mountains will gradually increase. To be sufficiently acclimatized, we climbed 3 "lower" mountains before we ventured to the first big volcano, Cotopaxi at almost 6000m. The climb was not easy, but exactly the adventure we had wanted. After a day off to rest, we then went to climb Chimborazo. This mountain is a lot more technical than Cotopaxi but with the professional instruction of our guides we always felt safe and well prepared. I can highly recommend this tour to every mountain fan, as the experience and the view are unique! Many thanks to Gulliver for the great planning and these memories!

Spent four wonderful days at Tierra del Volcan. Braved the wind and rain for a bike ride to El Tambo. Condors, ibis, caracara, peregrine falcons, and smiles all around. Jorge and Maria are wonderful hosts and their love of the chagra culture and the Ecuadorian culture were inspiring. Thanks so much, And Empanadas!
- by ShawnWe had an amazing time on our horseback ride. The kids loved the chance to ride fast, the views were beautiful, and the before and after drinks were great. Thanks for a memory we will always remember
