Northern Thailand Tour Companies

We have just returned from the 14 day tour with our guide Sky who was brilliant. The tour provides a good mix of culture, locations and time for you to explore yourself which is what we were looking for.

Great tour with fabulous activities and tour guide. Most days were pretty full with only a couple of “free days”. I knocked a star off as some of the accommodations were quite poor, even at a 2-3 star level.

I was very appreciative of my local tour guide who was very experienced, had wonderful local knowledge and was really flexible to meet my needs. Thank you!

Whilst the tour was as per itinerary I mistakenly thought that I was fit enough to complete the trekking, so I had to cut it short. The change to the original plan was well managed by the tour guide as well as the help required during the trekking. The experience of getting to know the life of the Karen tribes in the jungle was fantastic, however I mistakenly thought I could meet some of the long neck people in these Karen villages. Important to note that this was not part of this tour.

This tour was an absolute highlight from start to finish! Perfectly organized and carried out with a lot of humour, love and interest. Mr. Sit, our guide, and the two accompanying guides explained a lot about nature and plants to us. The overnight stays with the host families gave us a small insight into the life of the tribes. Hospitality is very important here. A trip that I can recommend to everyone!

Julie and Sampang took exceptionally good care of us. Julie was knowledgeable and interesting and made sure there was something different awaiting us each day. Sampang was always on hand to assist us and ensure we were comfortable. A great way to get to know the real Thailand.

While i loves thailand, some of the guides did not speak enflish or could be understood. I enjoyed the elephant sanctuary, i also did the tigers on my own and had a wonerful time. Everyone was wonderful and i felt safe at all times even at night. I was lost for about 15 min and still felt safe. Food was awesome. Phuket was amazzzzing. Would love to live their.

"Truly local experience " is a ridiculous exaggeration! For example, on day 2 we visited Damnoensaduak floating mkt, which was overflowing with tourists, noisy. On day 4, "jungle trekking" was a 20min. walk to a waterfall, through very normal woods. Then on day 9, my flight SL533 arrived on time in Bkk but nobody was waiting for me!!*#! NOBODY ! 90 min later they phoned me to ask where I was ! Then I spoke to a woman called Lilly, who said they have staff always ready to pick up people. What a blatant lie ! I will never book with PrestiGo again. NEVER !

Very well selected hotels; some even provided free upgrades. Extremely punctual transfers; the drivers were usually there 10-15 minutes before the agreed time. The German-speaking guides had room for improvement in terms of fluency, but were very engaging and knew the best times to visit and the best places (e.g. for sunset photos), and were able to give very good food recommendations.

My husband and I took this tour as part of our Southeast Asia trip, and it turned out to be one of our favorite experiences. The cruise down the Mekong was mesmerizing—we passed lush jungles, quiet villages, and even spotted elephants along the riverbank! Luang Prabang was our favorite stop. Waking up early for the almsgiving ceremony and then exploring the town’s charming temples was unforgettable. Kuang Si Falls was even more beautiful in person, and we had plenty of time to swim and take photos. The transition to Vientiane was smooth, and we loved exploring its laid-back streets and temples. The entire trip was well-organized, and our guide was fantastic. If you want to truly experience the heart of Laos, this tour is the way to do it!

A Unique & Authentic Way to Explore Laos. This was one of the most memorable trips we've ever taken! Instead of rushing from city to city, we got to experience Laos in a slow and immersive way, starting with a scenic Mekong River cruise. Floating past jungle-covered hills and stopping in tiny riverside villages gave us a real glimpse of local life. Luang Prabang was enchanting—the mix of French and Laotian culture, the golden temples, and the peaceful vibe made us fall in love with the town. We especially enjoyed the boat trip to the Pak Ou Caves and hiking around Kuang Si Falls. Vientiane was another highlight, offering a relaxed but fascinating end to the tour with visits to Wat Sisaket, the Patuxai Monument, and Buddha Park. From start to finish, the tour was perfectly planned, and we felt completely taken care of. If you want an authentic, enriching experience in Laos, this is the way to do it! — Emily & Brett.

Our VIP organizer and assistant was wonderful. They were very communicative, and answered all the questions that we had throughout the trip. And we had a lot of questions. They were very good at coordinating our personally booked hotels before and after as well, and it was a, seamless transition from one to the other.

I just got back from the “Marvelous Thailand In 10 Days” private tour, and I have to say, it was incredible From start to finish, everything was so well planned. Our guide was super friendly and shared tons of interesting stories about the places we visited. I loved exploring the bustling streets of Bangkok and then relaxing on the beautiful beaches in Phuket. Each day felt like a new adventure.
