Amazing tour. Tour guide was informative and knowledgeable. The itinerary was good although could be a bit rush if tour members are not fit enough to walk around. Wadi rum is otherworldly, probably could stay 3-4 days even.
- by Jason kIt was a wonderful tour and provided me with many Fantastic experiences. Hotels were good. Tour Guide, Mr. Khaldoun Alshawish was very knowledgeable and supportive to older participants in his group. I am very grateful to him for his service.

- by Lydia SieversOur guide, Mohammed Zanoon was amazing. The whole trip went off without a hitch. Jordan is so beautiful from Dana to Wadi Rum. Will definitely go back!

Mo was an excellent tour leader in that he has such passion and enthusiasm about Jordan. I learnt so much about the history and culture and so enjoyed all of the activities. Mo went over and beyond to ensure my dietary needs were met as I have coeliac disease which was much appreciated. Highly recommend this tour.

The overall tour was well organised. However we got a substandard accommodation on the first day of the tour at Amman. Other days the stay was good

I'll start with the good. The tour itself is really good, the things that you see are breathtaking but the poor organisation of the tour mean that sometimes you can't enjoy the experience. Just so that other people are aware Tour Radar don't actually organise the tour they give this responsibility to another company called Bamba experience, but they also are not the ones organising the tour, the tour is actually given by Tourist Israel so probably easier to book directly with them. It took me a few days to just find out where the meeting point was. I emailed Bamba experience and this agent replied that the meeting point was in Tel Aviv. Not sure if they realised that is an entire city and not a place. Eventually I did find out where it was. When i first arrived at the meeting point no one knew who the first two companies were. Tourist israel is only mentioned in one of the many emails that they sent me so it was very difficult to know what i should ask about. I asked the driver if i was in the right place he told me he's not the tour guide, just the driver. I tried calling to ask on their 24h phone line and of course no one answered. I asked people around and some were on a 2 day tour some on a 4 day tour. Since mine was 3 i thought it might be a different one. Then i spoke to someone who was on the 3 day tour. On a whim i got on the bus. We drove all the way to the border without anyone checking tickets or anything like that. The border crossing takes about 3h - not the tour's fault but just a heads up. We get on the Jordanian side and there was no one from tourist israel, just this guy saying 'fun time, fun time'. Someone tells him that we're not with fun time but if he knows where the guide from tourist israel is and he's like oh yeah they are the same thing. This is something we were meant to somehow know. We go with him and my name wasn't on the list. I start calling them abd sending emails and they just told me they were gonna look into it. Eventually the border allows me to go and we continue the journey. Few hours later i ask the guide if he has heard anything else from the agency and he's like yes, did i not tell you? When we got to Petra, on our lunch break there was thus guy asking people for payment. I told them that i have already paid but they guy said that he doesn't care that he hasn't received the money and if i want to get back on the tour bus then i had to pay again. Given that my options were wuite limited i paid again as I didn't want to be left in Petra. Then I got back in touch with the agency and they ensured me that they will sort it out in a few days. It took over a month and constant emails for me to get my money back and every day they would tell me i would have my money in 2-3 days. We also didn't get to sleep in the Bedouin camp as promised in the offer, hotels were 2 stars max and the food was pretty bad. Again, the sights are amazing and well worth seeing but the organisation of the tour is deplorable. My advice is to book directly with tourist israel as they seem to be the only ones in the area actually organising tours, but ask first.

We had an amazing time with this operator with Jordan HorizonTours. They are the best in terms of being organized and we had very respectful driver who took us on the tour. The sights are magical and hotels were equally good. I highly recommend them for excellent experiences.
- by BrennanWe are a family of 5 (kids 14, 13 and 7) and did a Petra/Wadi Rum tour from Aqaba, crossing from the Eilat border. Jordan Horizons Tours was incredible to deal with. Ethical, transparent and fair from the start. Their fees and costs were well set out, they were cost effective (excellent value) and all the commitments were absolutely met. Water was freely available, everything ran to time and staff were professional. Amjad was amazing to deal with, Yousef a terrific driver with a high quality car (with wifi in it!) and their border service was efficient. All the guides, meals and accom were of a high standard. Jordan Horizons Tours also kept communcating via whatsapp and were available and honest throughout. A pleasure to work with and highly recommended.

The tour was very good. One thing that bugged me was the tip we needed to contribute to. According to the trip notes, the participation was optional and the amount could be decided by us. Which was not the case. I'm not saying I wouldn't have tipped, the driver and the bedouin family who transported and cooked for us more than deserved their money. Perhaps the information needs to be clearer.
- by Radu SteopanAwesome scenery. Real Lawrence of Arabia landscape and such colourful rock formations. Petra was even more dramatic than I had anticipated. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? Standing on top of the rock bridge, quite high up, and  overwhelmed by the vast desert landscape before me. What did you think of your group leader? He was friendly enough but didn't engage a great deal. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Take a camping mug as they just give you plastic cups to drink hot tea out of. It wasn't particualrly cold at night so you don't need a really warm sleeping bag, especially as they provide super thick blanlets anyway.Remember a headtorch for the evenings. It's too hot to walk in the middle of the day so you get a couple of hours sitting in the shade so travel scrabble or something similar is a good idea. Is there anything else you would like to add? The desert and the visit to Petra were amazing. The group were all so friendly and we had a good laugh, especially about the portaloo which was transported across the desert from camp to camp. There was something surreal about following it. As long as we had it in our sights we knew we couln't get lost! Altogether an amazing experience and quite different from other treks and travels.

Overall, the tour was exactly as advertised - from airport pickup, exellent guides, good vehicles and good hotels.
- by Brian FisherMy wife and I previously used Encounters Travel for a vacation to Egypt and Greece and therefore jumped at the opportunity to use them for our journey to Jordan. The expectations bar was high given our previous trips being absolutely amazing and something we wanted to replicate in many areas. It delivered from the encyclopedic knowledge of our guide, Omar, who explained the historical significance of various sites encompassing the folklore of the civilizations responsible for such wonders such as the temples, amphitheaters around Amman, As-Salt, Jerash, and all the way to the remoteness of Wadi Rum plus who could forget the marvels of Petra with its Hellenistic design. The highlights were many with floating on the waters of the Dead Sea being magical. The accommodations were mentioned as being "3 Star" which was a standard room wasn't an issue as who is trying to stay in their room with everything there is to explore in Jordan. One improvement or thing to note is the preservation of water in Jordan might mean if you're taking a shower at a particular hour expect it to be freezing cold. During the trip, we were provided bottled water; however, the water was never cold. It would have been nice if the refrigerated unit used to hold the water on the coach bus worked and would keep the water cold. The expectations for the culinary choices were something my wife and I got particularly thrilled with offerings such as Makloubeh, yet nothing could beat the desert item called Kanafeh that was scrumptious and if you're into Baklava, there is no shortage of places to purchase. Encounters Travel gets both thumbs up for the trips and locations they put together and we will definitely use them for future travel adventures.

It was an excellent experience. Some ideas for improvement are to provide times re: departures and provide possible side trips that can be booked upon arrival. We had a free day in Amman and ended up booking a driver but would have preferred to book with you (if I had known the day was free). We loved the extra day on the yacht to go snorkelling but could have had more time I either Wadi Rum or Petra.
- by Heather GoldThe first day of the tour was okay but the last two days were so complicated, mismanaged and very stressful I ended up leaving the tour early. I wouldn't recommend.
