- Simon· February 6th, 2024Firstly I want to say this is our personal opinion and appreciate people expectations are different. The tour was ok in as much we did see a lot of Sri Lanka land scape The tour had limited attraction to see. (We did decline a couple due to wet weather and also being tired at the end of the tour) Most of the attractions were shops / site that want you to buy their product Rooms were clean and all host amazing to us. However not all rooms had ac as advised We were disappointed that seating for the train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella was not available bearing in mind I booked in November and our trip was for February and was advised only standing would be available. The culture show in Pinnawala was a waste of £10 per person. All the large tour companies get the decent seats and we ended up being ticked to the side. The hotel hall is very poor where this is carried out. Yala national park is like the lottery. We saw plenty of boar, water buffalo and peacocks and deers. Saw the rear end of about 6 elephants. The biggest problem for this place is too many jeeps trying to find the rare animals and the noise pushes the animals far away in the dense area. The road was like a roller coaster so be prepared for a bumpy ride. The whale watching was on. Saw plenty of dolphins which was nice to see free. A couple of mating turtles 😂. The owner of the large boat stayed there was a whale with the dolphins group but no one could actually see it. (Should be called dolphin watch and possibly see a whale) Was taken to an elephant foundation and not the orphanage. Felt very uneasy how these animals are looked after. (Again my Personal opinion) Wije the driver was always polite and on time. Felt he could have come with us to sites and spoke a little about the location we was at rather then sitting with the car and letting us find our own way around. He is actually just a chauffeur with information about the areas travelling. So overall the tour was ok for us I feel The driver when we first meet speak maybe 1 hour chatting about the week and the areas we will be visiting to ensure we want to go the spice shops or gem stores or clothing stores To leave a final comment on this company.
