- ANAnthony· April 25th, 2023Hi had a great solo tour in Sri Lanka. It was a 5 night, six day tour to most of the top sites in central Sri Lanka and Colombo. Once of two things I appreciate the most was the responsiveness of Holiday Lanka Tours, particularly via the messaging feature on the TourRadar website. They typically responded within a few hours both before the tour and during. They helped me with topics like pickup/drop off times and locations, and they also occasionally checked in to see how things were going. The other thing I appreciate most is my driver Siri. Not only was he consistently friendly and polite, but he was an EXCELLENT driver who drove safely and cautiously during our 25+ hours in the car together. Also wanted to mention that he was always on time, pointed out top sights, make good recommendations, and helped as a translator on a few occasions. Overall it was a great experience. My advice to future travels is to absolutely book with Holiday Lanka Tours, and also I wished I did a bit more research on the amount of time to expect to be in the car (like I mentioned above, it was a lot of driving). I’d also recommend to look up the costs of the entrance fees to the sights in advance so you’re not surprised like I was. Some locations charged the equivalent of $5-10 USD, which I expected, while others charged $20-60 USD. There’s also always an expectation of tips, so be sure to ask ahead.Show more
