Especially the tour guide Danny was at our side from the beginning and helped far beyond the normal, went with me to buy a sim card (he even advanced the money because I had nothing yet), made changes for us in the middle of the tour and adapted the tour so that we could extend the first part and even after the end of the tour he was there for us and orgnaized things with the hotel for us in Hanoi, although we were already no more customers. A really great guide, super nice and helpful, many, many thanks, Danny! The TK123 Hotel is absolutely OK, conveniently located and offers everything you need - coffee is difficult, like almost everywhere there, but OK. The Bakhan Village Resort is a great place, we even extended for another day. Only the a la carte food was not to our taste, but the included lunch and breakfast were great. The Halong tour was, as expected, totally overcrowded with tourists, but neatly organized, a beautiful ship with nice cabins offered everything, the food was rather OK and far from "luxury". All in all, a successful tour, perhaps a little too expensive in terms of a few elements, especially food / catering.
