Very good tour! It's very complete, you get to see all the "most important" monuments. On top of that I also did the Abu Simbel temple, Hot air baloon and quad. And this I recommend you to add to the tour as they are really worth it. Our guide Amjad was very friendly and helpful, on top of that he knew everything about ancient egypt history and was able to explain everything in detail. 100% recommend this tour!
- by Pedro DuroI have always dreamed of visiting Egypt to witness the pyramids , temples and sphinx, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We got the BEST Egyptologist guide!! Right from Day One, Ramez made the whole group feel very comfortable, safe, super fun and engaged. We had a fantastic tour whilst learning so much about the rich history and culture of Egypt. I can see his dedication and passion in what he does every single day during the tour , and he was very patient with answering all our questions (there is no stupid questions, he says !;)) and concerns at any time. I will forever cherish this trip of my lifetime, and Ramez made it extra special for our group, being so careful and sensitive to fine details and attention. Thank You Ramez for being the best guide ever, in every way! We hope to see you again !!

I set up the Egypt Group Tour which included Cairo, a Nile Cruise, and the Red Sea all in one trip for the 16-person group, and what a trip it was. The tour was women-exclusive and was well-orchestrated. We would particularly like to express our gratitude to Marwa, our gracious tour guide, who made it a point to ensure that we were comfortable and well attended to throughout the trip. Her individual touch really did make a big difference One of the highlights was the Hurghada tender balloon ride, which had stunning views of the desert as well as the sea. This was one of the activities that I would recommend to anyone traveling to Egypt as it is incredible. Another highlight of the trip was the Nile cruise which gave a unique chance to view the historic sites.
- by SimaThe entire tour was well-organized with good hotels and a phenomenal cruising experience. The staff who organized airport pickups and drop-offs (Michael and John) were real professionals--very courteous, helpful and organized. The Egyptologist tour guide in Cairo (Tamer) was a fountain of knowledge--giving us an awesome primer on ancient Egyptian civilization, while showing the various sights in Cairo. The other Egyptologist tour guide in Aswan and Luxor (Hassan) was a delight to work with--very energetic and very knowledgeable about all the monuments we toured. Overall, we had a great experience and we highly recommend this tour to everyone.

It was an incredible experience, we could not have had a better guide. The organization was good but many of the extra activities were overpriced and the quality of the hotels and the train left something to be desired. Overall very good but there are things to polish.

Our trip with Itaca Holidays was absolutely incredible! From the pyramids in Cairo to the stunning Nile cruise and the beautiful beaches of Hurghada, every moment was unforgettable. Our guide in Cairo, Karim, was so knowledgeable and made the history come alive. The Nile cruise was luxurious, and the crew, led by Captain Hany, treated us like royalty. In Hurghada, we enjoyed snorkeling in the Red Sea and a thrilling desert safari organized by Tarek. Everything was seamless, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Itaca Holidays!
- by dylanmurphy987Itaca Holidays made our Egypt trip unforgettable! The Cairo tours were fascinating, and our guide, Ali, was so passionate about Egyptian history. The Nile cruise was the highlight of our trip—peaceful, luxurious, and filled with breathtaking views. The staff, especially Samira, made us feel so welcome. Everything was well-organized, and the team was always available to help. We highly recommend Itaca Holidays for anyone visiting Egypt!

Excellent guide Hussan, very knowledgeable and answered questions and really looked after us. Food on the boat was restricted for me being a vegetarian. Boat was a little 'tired' needed updating and given a through clean. Staff on the boat were mainly friendly and attentive. Trips were well organized and delivered what they were expected to.
- by Helen HallThank you for the magnificent tour. The whole organization, the cruise, and all the included trips were amazing. Also, our guide, Hassan, made the experience much greater with his knowledge and experience while guiding us through the old Egypt.

Bea was very knowledgeable and personable. It was a pleasure having him as our guide for our tour.
- by Katrina LipscombOur group of 9 did a customized tour for my mom's 90th birthday. In Cairo, Sherif was our guide and took us to the Bent and Red Pyramids, the Great Pyramids & Sphinx (plus camel ride), and the Grand Egyptian Museum. He was informative and generally let us explore at our leisure. We flew to Aswan the next morning where our guide, Mark, helped get us settled on the Nile Admiral and then took us to the unfinished obelisk and Temple of Philae. He ran a fairly constant talk track with some exploring time. Am Bishoy (Bee) was our guide from Aswan to Luxor and provided highly detailed descriptions of all of the sites we visited. They saved the best for last as Bee got the balance of informing us of the rich history, providing his honest perspective, and giving us some time to explore. He also helped make my mom's 70th birthday celebration a memorable experience and was patient with my sister's younger children (6 & 11) although one has had a persistent cough and the other had signs of dehydration sickness (he helped get us medicine for them as well). The ship crew was very friendly and made up for the buffet food being bland by making sure our table always had at least one plate of something spicier. Accomodations were adequate. Definitely loved the experience.

The staff on the cruise were great but the boat itself was tired and dirty. At best this was three star. The food was institutional and was only useful in taking away our hunger. We arrived thinking we would experience 5 star food and drink. Tries several bottles of wine that were off and resorted to beer and gin and tonic as there was no drinkable wine on the boat. The tours were okay but there was little information about what was going on or how long things would take. People need to be kept informed. In summary, staff did there best, food and drink sus standard

We had a most wonderful time, our guide Ahmed was the most knowledgeable, friendly, funny and reassuring guide we could have wished for. The temples and other sites of historical interest were sublime, fascinating and enriching. The cruise was a dream. Great food and beautiful views. Very serene on the Nile, an unforgettable experience.

I understood from the outset that "5 Stars" in Egypt would not be up to the standard of 5 Stars I would expect in Australia. However, I took issue with a few things. 1. I booked with 'Fez Travel' but my tour operator was Encounters Travel. I realised when booking all tours with different companies looked exactly the same, but this was not explained to me and I could very well have missed my Guide at the airport as he was holding an Encounters Travel sign. 2. On the first day, one of the sights (Memphis) was missed off our itinerary (even though it was right where we were at Saqqara). We went back to see it on our last day but this meant a 90 minute round trip for a 30 minute visit in 42 degree heat, and obviously ate into our time spent at the Museum because it was Ramadan and everything was closing early in the afternoon. 3. The hotel in Cairo was lovely, the breakfast buffet was very impressive, but compared with the 'breakfast box' provided for the early morning starts, the packed meal was very disappointing. Really just bread and cheese (no butter), with a piece of dry fruit bread/cake and a piece of fruit. Juice and water, but these had to be consumed prior to the flight because there are liquid restrictions even on domestic flights in Egypt. 4. Our cruise ship was the H/S Moondance. The staff were lovely and very gracious regarding my feedback, but made sure to point out they are just staff and have no control over the way the ship is managed. There was zero complimentary drinking water on this ship. (The hotel in Cairo provided one 600ml bottle per day). Coffee with breakfast was only Nescafe, not even filter coffee. You could purchase espresso (but not particularly nice espresso). Everything seemed geared towards "English" guests, although no one on our cruise was English. It seems very Egyptian for men to be liberal with compliments towards women on their beauty but honestly the staff need to know this is not always welcome or appropriate. The meals were of good quality, I would have preferred more traditional Egyptian cuisine. The night we had this was the best food on the whole trip. The breakfasts were good when they had the buffet, but on the morning of Abu Simbel, I did not go and so myself and the 5 others left behind were given a pre-prepared plate, without any query as to what we would like to have on this plate (which surely would not have been difficult if there's only 6 of us!!). And again, on the morning we departed at 5am to fly back to Cairo, a breakfast box that would have been just bread and cheese, if it hadn’t been for our guide who went out of his way to ensure we had a boiled egg, extra fruit, some butter (!!) etc. 5. My main feedback about the structure of the tour would be that after the Philae Temple/Aswan Dam (Day 6), it would be IMMENSELY preferable to fly back to Cairo that night, in order to wake at 7am the next day, have a proper breakfast in the Cairo hotel, then go to the Museum. There was nothing to do that night in Aswan and absolutely no need to stay on the cruise ship another night, and have to get up at 4am (AGAIN). 6. All the guides and our tour manager were EXCELLENT. The guides were so knowledgeable and obviously passionate. Factor in that you need to tip your guides around $10USD/day (or more). They deserve it! I feel like I was a very demanding guest and my guides did everything they could to try and make me happy - so thank you! 7. Lastly, do not buy anything - ANYTHING - without your guide present. You will be getting ripped off. Flat out.

- all guides were very good - Ship, staff and food were very good (Nile cruise) - Poor transparency of additional costs - additional costs again in the end - Frequent uncertainty as to whether excursions take place when/how - coordination partly "highlife" - The AMC Royal Hotel in Hurghada was absolutely terrible! No 2 stars! - the €100 compulsory charge for a "New Year's Eve dinner" was a sheer tourist rip-off!
- by Stefan SteinhagenWe really enjoyed our trip to Egypt. Mostafa from Egypt Skyway was in contact with us the whole time. He arranged for us very experienced guides and we were travelling in very good mini-vans. Nothing to complain about!

We were on Best of Egypt tour with a little personal touch, as we saw Garbage City and the Cave Church which was not in the standard itinerary. From the moment we arrived till we checked in on our way home, we were taken care of on the best possible way. Our tour coordinator, Michel, was very pleasant to be with, had a good sense of humor and very was competent. Every time we were moving from one place to another, he was there to help and guide us - very reassuring. Our guide in Cairo, Mina, was very well educated and knowledgeable - he told us about what we were seeing and then said, "this I am going to tell you about when we get to...", and he always remembered to do so - it is a very nice to be kept in suspense that way. Our guide in Luxor, Aswan and the Nile cruise was Gamal. He too is very well educated in all things Egyptian, and was also very good company. He could answer all of our questions, both on site and later on the ship where he sat with us, having coffee, answering lots of additional questions we had. The Nile Cruise on Esmeralda was very luxurious with great food and very nice and friendly staff. It was a perfect mix of seeing the monuments and relaxing/enjoying our time at the ship. We definitely had a feeling of being at a 1st class cruise. All in all we have been really satisfied with Planet Tours - everything has been working perfectly well, all pick ups have been on time, the guides were excellent as well as our tour coordinator. We will definitely recommend Planet Tours to everyone who consider a trip to Egypt.
- by Birthe PoulsenThe overall experience was good. The tour guides very very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Small groups are great but being o tour of one was a little odd and having a dining table to myself on the river cruise portion was strange.

-this tour was very well organized. Everything was thoughtful and all guides and drivers were informed of our itinerary and kept us on track. I was so impressed! We got a message from Tony the day before our flight letting us know that he will pick us up in Cairo on our arrival. Each tour guide handed off to the next, they stayed in touch with other to ensure a smooth transition. Tony, who first picked up in arrival was very kind, polite and accommodating. He took a picture of us and sent to the next guide so they know to look for us. He also gave us a great recommendation for an authentic egyptian dinner that night. -Marwa our tour guide for pyramids, sphinx and museum was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Took care of us and made sure that we got everything out our visit. She also gave us a great recommendation for a koushary lunch. -hotel in Cairo was nice and clean, not much close by so we took an Uber which is safe and cheap. Staff at hotel were kind and helpful. -we did the camel ride in Giza, I didn't like being on the camel but we were taken to a nice spot and got great shots of the 9 pyramids. -Nile river cruise on the Opera was amazing. The room was clean and we had a large window slide door. The food was incredible, different each day and dinner was a highlight. The staff went out of their way to ensure you are having a great time. Tea time at 4 pm everyday was a very nice touch. Only issue here was that you were not given water and had to pay for it. This I found unacceptable and especially for what they consider 5*cruise. At least 1 bottle per person per day should be provided. -Ashraf our tour guide in Awan, Edfu and Luxor was amazing. Knowledgeable, kind, accommodating and extremely prompt. He made sure each day was incredible, he was very organized, extremely prompt, reliable and had great communication, letting us know the plans for the day and next day. He was very patient and explained everything numerous times without getting tired of us asking the same questions. He helped us shop and haggle and always looked out for us. He made us feel like his family and was always looking out for us to keep us safe. He went put of his way to do things for us, helping us book our train tickets for later parts of our trip, taking us gold shopping and giving us recommendations for food. -hotel at Luxor at the end of the trip was a bit shabby buy clean and efficient. Staff were great. The lunch on our last day in Luxor at a nearby restaurant was not good quality. Especially after the amazing food on the cruise, this was a let down. Wish that we could have had lunch at the hotel instead. -we did the hot air balloon in Valley of Kings. Early morning flight and 2 vans rides plus boat ride to get to. It was 20 minutes up in the air and packed with other people. We didn't go over the valley or see anything other than crop fields. A bit disappointing. -all in all, this was an amazing tour and a great value for the money.
- by Saba KFThe tour is wonderful - a must to see all these places. But make sure to book on one of the newer boats. Ours was quite worn out, everyday something else not working.
