Our guide Romulo was amazong, has a lot of knowledge and eager to share with us all the exciting details of the area, animals, plants and the culture. Our accomodation was vers clean, you don’ t really expect that in the forest but they clean the rooms every day. The food was excellent too! Couldn’t really say anything bad but prepare for the 10 hour long bus ride because it was not a pleasure to ride. the roads are really bad the driver was honking like every min.. but it was worth for the tours.

It’s not even worth one star , most unsafe tour middle of jungle whith the most horrible raisist people who only treat you well if you Spanish speaker , First of all there is no clean water for you just muddy river water for your shower . Secound no power no wife no reception at all only from 4 o’clock to 5 . My roof was licking so bad due to rain but unfortunately they had no empty room to change my room and end up to make me to leave the tour at secound day and the didn’t return my 1200 $ money . They charge me for transportation but they didn’t provide me any type of transportation, they left me by the road middle of jungle where I could be raped or killed or ingerd by animal . Pleas do not book Nicky lodge at all . There is many lodge that can make your travel amazing . Also this lodge had promotion for ecuadorian people for 100$ and full of people who singing and clabb and play guitar all time whith loud music and destroyed the nature by their song. Pleas give favour your self and avoid this company.

It was no hot water in my room. Plus in the team there was people for Danmark Pay less than me. Food are OK.

Our experience was excellent. Evi our tour guide was incredible. The staff at Nicky lodge was excellent, the food was always delicious and fresh.

Our stay started badly with so many cockroaches in our room that we had to ask to change rooms. This was accommodated, but was greeted with rolled eyes. Coffee was promised to be available from 6am but was never available before 7am. Our guide seemed disinterested and spent all her time in the back of the boat, a lot of that time she was on her phone. She'd say the name of a bird but sometimes not tell us where to look. She didn't have a laser pointer to help us find things. We were left behind on one one excursion and made to feel bad for the miscommunication. When our clothes got soaked in a downpour we were made to feel bad for asking for the use of a dryer to get them dry in time for leaving the next day. On multiple instances we overheard staff and the manager were talking about us disparagingly in Spanish, but my friend speaks Spanish so was able to understand them. There's a schedule of 3 days of activities so no point staying any longer than that. Overall, we felt uncomfortable most of the time. We didn't see a lot of wildlife. We felt like we were an annoyance, not guests. Massively disappointing.

This was a wonderful tour. The eco lodge was comfortable and the chef prepared amazing meals. The naturalist was very knowledgeable about all the plants, animals and culture of the Cuyabeno Preserve. We went out onto the river and into the jungle to explore every day and even visited an indigenous tribe and made yucca bread. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who really wants to understand the headwaters of the Amazon and the surrounding jungle.

Words cannot describe accurately how amazing this trip was for both of us. The activities were well planned out, the accommodation extremely comfortable, we particularly liked the lagoon in front of the lodge Our tour guide was highly organized and we all knew everything we needed to the day before it was required, communication was clear and detailed. He even gave us great tips of where to buy a pair of binoculars in Lago Agrio, which was appreciated. There was plenty of delicious food, we never went hungry. The lodge overall in the middle of the jungle where you can see everything. thank you again.

My recent trip proved otherwise, I was fortunate to have a very friendly tour guide who not only ensured my safety but also made my journey unforgettable. Everyone seemed dedicated to preserving Ecuador's natural wonders. Ecuador is a country that works tirelessly to protect its environment. I was impressed by the sustainable initiatives in place, from eco-friendly accommodations reserved by my guide to strict conservation policies. My guide always available, thanks to his flexibility and punctuality. Whether it was adjusting my itinerary or ensuring timely pickups, My guide made every effort to accommodate my needs. Lastly, I was amazed by my guide's extensive knowledge of Ecuador's history, culture, and biodiversity. His insights added depth to my experiences and enriched my journey. Overall, my trip to Ecuador was not just an adventure but also an eye-opening experience about conservation and appreciation for the environment.

The tour from the organisational point of view was excellent - a seamless process with very good communication throughout. The itinerary was varied and well-balanced. Our guide Diego was excellent.

Tried to cancel my trip today due to the escalating situation in Ecuador. They refused a refund stating that it was "safe" in the areas we were visiting and that they would not refund due to it being my choice to cancel. The representative on the phone assured me that she "talked to a friend in Quito and he says it's fine."This goes against all international news and warnings. Do not travel with them. They are not understanding or reasonable.
